Props to the Vikes

Post by velocet »

They made the plays they needed to make because they're the better team tonite. Does that line sound too familiar? Is it too cliche?

Well what do you expect from 'Skinsland at this time, innovation? Like, as in innovative playcalling or twists in execution?
(Or from the fans... imaginative posts?)

Look, conceptually speaking, the much ballyhooed coordinators didn't do anything to distinguish themselves by throwing the opponent off balance with stuff they can't handle. And those lackluster gameplans are the end of a team that doesn't have an overwhelming talent edge.
So, of course, the Vikes pulled it off.

So hats off to you and your team, Purplerox.

yep. that was pretty dismal. still trying to figure out who to blame more- the O that scored ...what? 3 points in the second half? the O that couldnt get 3 yards rushing with mr Betts carrying the ball? that douchebag needs to be cut immediately. he couldnt break a tackle to save his grandmas life.

or is it the D? the D who let brad johnson and his band of no names go around 60%- or probably more- on third down.....3rd and short, 3rd and long, didnt matter. the skins couldnt stop it. and this after being overall very effective on 1st and 2nd (after the first drive anyhow).

carlos rogers was TOAST. and it could have been much worse- that is, of troy williamson or whatever his name is could catch a cold. rogers did not look like an early first round pick. that dickhead couldnt tackle either- he missed a tackle on 3rd down, i believe, that would have likely forced the vikes to at least think about punting at mid field. God help the skins next week when they face TO and glenn- WR's you actually have heard of.

funny- the one ? the skins had coming into the season- brunell- was probably the best overall player tonight. he threw some nice balls, didnt throw many questionable ones at all that i recall, and even put the skins in position late to have a shot with passes to moss and el- who stupidly ran out of bounds on 3rd down a yard short to force a long FG try. i thought he played a hell of a game.

What velocet and G.O. said.

Brad Johnson could have set up a lawn chair in the pocket because the Skins D was getting nowhere near him. Even Aaron Brooks could complete passes with the time BJ had. I don't remember hearing Andre Carter mentioned all game. Nice investment there.

Props to the Queens.

I'm sure this team will get it together by week 2! Image

I'm worried about the injuries. Our backups are not worthy. This team can't hold it together injury wise for the season, that's not good. On the bright side when healthy, they can play with any team. Lose 1 player and we are exposed. Portis needs more time and we do need Springs in the line-up to be competitive.

Now, where are my bitches for next weekend???Image
