….went to the local cigar lounge to watch the Bolts vs. Raiduhs game so I missed the “in-game thread. Both were very enjoyable, the game and the 14 year old Cuban panatela. Far be it from me to gloat or kick Raiduhfan when he’s down, so I’ll limit my comments to some observations.
The Raiduhs have reached heretofore unchartered levels of suckiness. What the hell was that? I’ve seen better efforts and more competitiveness from The Sisters of Mercy badminton team.
This is a franchise out of control. They’re so far down the toilet, it’s rumored they passed a certain yellow Charger cap recently.
Robert Gallery…..I hope you had a chance to meet Shawne Merriman after the game, cause you sure as hell didn’t see him during the game. Aaron Brooks, we all knew this guy was bad, but holy crap, how far do you have to drop back to feel comfortable? The last time I sawr a guy drop that far back was in Pop Warner. Derrick Burgess….you were manhandled all night by a rookie with a broken hand, you never got so much as a sniff of the Charger backfield.
The Raiduh offense (and it was offensive) turned in one of the most dismal efforts I can ever remember. A pathetic 96 yds. through the air (half of that on the last drive of the game) and a paltry 82 yds. on the ground. A 27 to zip shutout, and it wasn’t as close as the score indicates.
On offense LT poured through the 8 man front for 115 yds. in the first half and took much of the 3rd. and all of the 4th. quarter off. Philip was under a tight rein because of piss poor field position, but made no mistakes and even hit AG for a score. The patchwork Charger O-line allowed exactly zero sacks, no knockdowns, and few if any hurries.
With the exception of a few step back screens to Moss, the Charger defense was outstanding. Jamal Williams took on double and triple teams freeing up Merriman and the rest of the crew to sack Radiuh QB'bs NINE freaking times. Is the Radiuh O-line that horseshit or the Charger D that tough?
Two positives for the Duns…Shane Lecher punted NINE times and the rookie Michael Huff looked like the real deal.
A pre-game quote A-Dad
“The front seven is going to have Brooks so fucking twisted him wont know his ass from a hole in the ground by halftime.” You ad man Dan!
In my opinion it is time to blow this sucker up and start from friggin scratch. Alice’s hiring of statue man Shell and his offensive coordinator (very liberal usage here) who was fired nine years ago, and has been out of football since is unforgivable. Raiduhfan should revolt and demand the head of Alice…he’s already dead anyway isn’t he?
Too’s, RJ, Asassin and other Raiduhfans, I truly feel for you. What a freeking injustice to see a once proud franchise become a laughing stock.
What say you?

JIP said...Hell, Michael Sam has more integrity than you do.
Very long story short, we're one game into the Shell II era.
He inherited a team that won 4, 5, and 4 games in the past 3 seasons.
Defense and special teams have actually looked pretty good through the pre-season and in the first game.
Offense ... ?
Joke.
Let's see what takes place as we move through the year.
