and therein lies the problem.....

even the crustiest curmudgeon "old school" guys knew when the game had passed them by......unfortunately for dud fan, Davis is the exception to that rule.......

Bottom line regarding my Raiders is this: They are absolute dogshit with Walsh as OC and Ryan as DC (Shut the fuck up, Ryan defenders-dude didnt blitz more than twice all game and attampt to rattle a young Qb's FIRST start. Dumbfuck.)
I'm nowhere near a Ryan defender and have been calling him out for years now but being critical of him not blitzing when the Chargers passed a grand total of what ? Eleven times in the entire game is curious to me.

In fact I'm much more likely to call that faggot out for coming out of the gate running that bullshit 3-3-5 allignment when everyone and their mother knew that we were gonna face a steady diet of L.T. early and often.

One thing we can agree on though, our coaching is shit - once again.

For the most part over the last few years our drafting is horrible, our adjustments are horrible, our coaching is horrible.

Add all of that shit up and you get 13-36 and counting......

If it was up to me I'd blow this fucker up and start from scratch. What are we gonna do? Suck? Been there done that. I'd trade everyone I could then release almost everyone else including Moss and Porter, Sims, Langston Walker, Softie Schweigert, Brooks, Fargas, Courtney Anderson....shit goes on and on.

Trading for Moss was the equilivant of giving a starving dude a glass of water. But Al loves his speed doesn't he?

Speed and skill is nice and all but when it comes down to it this is a very physical game and we lack toughness - yet again.

It's not like this is news or anything but we are soft as marshmallows up front.

People saying that Ryan adjusted after the half need to look a bit closer IMO.

Marty went into a shell in the 3rd quarter up by less than 2 TD's.

He was so confident in his defense he basically started taking a knee with 27 minutes left or so.

That, my friends is the ultimate insult.

We have a lot of work to do and the bottom line is that we need more players on both lines.

The fact that we build from the outside in defensively is a constant source of frustration to me.

This isn't a track meet and while we can possibly prevent long passing plays it matters not when teams simply line up and pound the fuck out of you and wear you down over the course of a game.

Again, our "quick strike" offense does us no favors defensively.

I've been a Jordan supporter but after that pathetic showing in blitz pickup on Monday I'm real worried about the guy. Dude looked like a rookie in pass protection at times. Inexcusable IMO.

We desperately need some blue collar O lineman in the offseason, maybe not the highlight reel guys but lunch pail strong willed motherfuckers who know a thing or two about holding their own at the LOS.

I look around the league and see other teams planning for the future, then there is the Raiders trying to recapture the past.

Bringing back Art Shell reminds me of when USC brought back John Robinson. Sure he went around telling everyone we would be national championship contenders and made all the boosters happy with his bullshit but when the whistle blew it was the same crappy team living in the past and getting killed vs. good college teams. The you know who comes in and guess what happens?

We are beta, 8 tracks, and the model T all rolled into one as a team right about now.

We don't just need different talent, we need a different attitude. The culture of this team needs to change but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

We are not as bad as we showed on Monday but we have a lot of problems to deal with. The Chargers will be a force this season and beyond if they remain healthy.

Let's just get back to respectibility this season shall we?

We aren't even close right now.
