There is no way Shanahan will allow that offense to choke it up two weeks in a row and especially choke it away to the queefs at home. I expect to see a pretty even mix of Tatum running the ball and Javon gaining his reputation back by actually catching passes this week!
Chiefs will be hurting without Trent Green.
Denver wins 24-10

I do not expect KC to win, but I do see a close game.
1. If Trent taking a nap on the field is not a reason for the defense to rally and step up, then there will never be one.
2. Rat Shannahan is a genuis. He knows the bootleg has killed the Chiefs and he will either find out quickly that the KC defense no longer falls for it ........ or more than likely will think they have figured it out, and not even try.
3. The Chiefs better know that the whole world has already written them off, and most of the world is laughing at them. Thats normally a reason to get an enormous chip on the shoulder.

I think Cincinnati is a playoff team (and maybe more than that) so as time goes by the ass-kicking KC took last Sunday might not look quite so bad.
KC is not horrible, they just aren't real good either ..... especially without TrINT.
They're 8-8ish.
This game will be close for a half and then Dungver will run it up a wee bit in the 3rd & 4th qtrs.
Put me down for 2 successful Plummer bootlegs pulled off.

...Unitl last year Ratahan had not won a playoff game since Elway left. Genuis? uh I don't think so. Good offensive mind..YES

definitely a yawner today and kind of shocking since most people, including myself, were predicting a blowout; not a defensive snoozer with horrible offensive efforts.
I miss Gary Kubiak. Great that he's a head coach, but I just have to point out that he left Denver for whatever that is in Houston and left us with a horrid offense.
It's gonna be a loooong season for three of the AFC west teams!

Yawn ...
Rack the Doncs, although I'm not quite sure what for.
I'd really like to say Kansas City stepped up huge today on the road, fought the valiant fight and gave Denver all it could handle, but I think we're just seeing two very mediocre teams right now at this point in the season.
Did you guys see a different game, or would you agree?

No I agree, it was not a pretty game at all. I do have to give props to KC and Damon Huard for stepping in for Green and really putting forth a good effort. The Denver D definitely had a run for their money today.orcinus wrote:Yawn ...

mediocre is being kind......orcinus wrote:but I think we're just seeing two very mediocre teams right now at this point in the season.
edwards defensive schemes gave the Broncos a lot of trouble but in all honesty. right now Denver is not a very good team.........the only thing keeping them in it is the D......

The Chiefs D effort was anything but mediocre. If you had told me before the season started that they'd only allow 6 points on the road at Piled High thru 60 minutes, I'd have wanted some of that shit you were smoking.orcinus wrote:Yawn ...

Alas, there's no such thing as a "moral" victory, and this one goes in the loss column just the same...despite having numerous chances to shock the world and pull out an unimaginable upset, KC shot itself in the foot just enough to give away what should've been a 'W'.
Still, I'm encouraged and looking at the glass as being half full at this point. I haven't seen KC's defense fly around the field making plays like this in 10 years. Derrick Johnson was freaking everywhere, and reminded me of another Derrick that I once used to watch.
If and when a healthy Trent Green comes back, this team may still make some noise.
More bad play calling by Solari today - the last drive being a prime example.
With less than 2 minutes left why in the fuck would you line up in a 2 TE set and run off RT?
That would have been a great set to fake R and boot left to the TE for 15 yards to get in Tynes range... instead it's a wasted play.
This is going to be a long, ugly season on offense

Yea......poptart wrote:Shit, KC's horseshit offense looks like the '99 Rams compared to what Oakland's got going.
Count your blessings.
I watched parts of that Raven game - errr......
Hey at least they are going to get Walters some reps.
Right now, the it's a toss up tween the Titans and the Raiders for Worst - Cleveland, Green Bay and Houston just a notch better

Leave it to Chief fan to start thumping their chest over a loss. :wink:KC Paul 3.0 wrote:RACK.War Wagon wrote:I haven't seen KC's defense fly around the field making plays like this in 10 years. Derrick Johnson was freaking everywhere, and reminded me of another Derrick that I once used to watch.
Anybody still think that KC's defense isn't improved?
I didn't think so.
