It is not that I do not care about the topic. My personal opinion is that rankings are meaningless until 2 or 3 weeks into conference play. As far as ND goes, let me see a game or two more before I can rank them. Rankings are not simply "win-loss" but how the past opponents fare as the season progesses. The season needs to progress in order to make those determinations.

My personal opinion is that I do not like ND and I think they should be ranked outside of the Top25. Personal opinion and reality do not always coincide.

10. the Cal track team
I like Notre Dame more than the muslims do; and regardless of one's fan base......they almost ALWAYS play the toughest schedule in the nation.....and deserve the requisite props.....

Do you mean in strawberry soda pop canyon? Maybe not. Michigan would for sure, GaTech would have a good chance, and PSU could possibly do it. On a neutral field, I'd take all three over Kal.

Don't even know about Michigan, what with the way Michigan routinely loses whenever they come to the west coast early in the season.
Georgia Tech? Cal probably beats G.T. in Berkeley.
PSU? Probably beat them too in Berkeley, this season.
Neutral field? Like...a bowl game?? Depends on whether there were any expectations on Cal. If not, they'd be fine. If the conference needed 'em to step up and win a big one they'd of course get fudgepummeled.
The west coast/Michigan thing was them pulling their typical lose their first road game (Whoops ). They also had John Navarre for all of those losses. One of which was because of horrid officiating (go figure) and the other two were special teams break downs.
GaTech would load up the box, blitz and force Booya or which ever "protege" was playing QB to beat them. This year, I'd take that match-up all day long.
PSU's front 7 is very good, so if they shut down Lynch and made the above mentioned "protege" beat them, it would bode well for PSU. That and PSU's receivers could cause match up problems with Kal's DB's, much like Tennessee's did.
