Just wondering

Yep. The way Frisco explained it to me, Lefty picks the games of the week every week, which is why we get one Rice game per year. Nolesy suggested this game, and Lefty went with it.

Fwiw, I think your team will win the game, but that 28 points is too much to cover, particularly with Jeffy running the offense. That's why I went with Rice.

Throw in the Lefty karma and you gotta go with Rice and the points.

Blind. As long as I am doing the excel work there will always be one RICE game as the game of the week. Usually it is against Cougar High in week one, but this season most wanted to see the team from game #14 against Tenn. I went with it and this is the week RICE gets game # 1.

Had RICE been in its normal slot in week one there would have been many who lost that one. Remember RICE covered and only lost the game outright by one point.

Son, we play on a pick'em game that has rules, and those rules have to be moderated by men with spreadsheets. Whose gonna do it? You? You, BlindRef? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for your 4 out of 10, and you curse the mods. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Rice's defeat, while tragic, probably will save points in the pick'em. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves points. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about in message boards, you want me on that spreadsheet, you need me on that spreadsheet. We use words like spread, beeeyotches, variance. We use these words as the backbone of a half decade spent running something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who posts his picks under the post on the very thread that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a keyboard and mouse and start a post of your own pick'em games. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

I think unlike Miami, FSU is capable of scoring a lot of points. And Rice seems like the appropriate candidate for such a display, if/when it happens.

Take caution in your tone, Blind. I'm a fair guy but this fucking chill is making me absolutely crazy. You wanna ask me about pick 'em's? On the record, I tell you I discourage the practice in acordance with the aplicable laws of your respective states; off the record, I tell you it`s an invaluable part of this message board. And if it happens to go on without my knowledge, so be it. I run my board how I run my board. You wanna ask about pick 'em? Roll the dice and take your chances. I eat breakfast 300 yards from 5 or 6 board bitches that are trained to bring this board down, so don`t think for one second that you can come down here, flash your whistle and make me nervous.
