16 Candles (er..intelligence agencies): WAKE UP!!!
A classified US intelligence paper on the effects of the Iraq war....okay....
The document reportedly blames the three-year-old conflict for increasing the threat of terrorism and helping fuel Islamic radicalism worldwide (No!!).
However, a White House spokesman said the newspaper report was "not representative of the entire document".
"They didn't include the BILLIONS of dollars of profit engendered by freedom-supporting U.S. defense corporations, as well as hundreds of millions paid to freelance contractors."
But White House spokesman Peter Watkins hit back at the newspaper's report, saying: "Their [terrorists'] hatred for freedom and liberty did not develop overnight, those seeds were planted decades ago (i.e., 1948).
President Bush, sputtering his simple sentences, insists that America "stay the course."
(Feeling like a jail-house bitch yet?)

And had the US not toppled Saddam Hussein, these people now enlisting as terrorists would be doing what right now? Enrolling in law school, watching football games, and investing in 401K’s?

Think of all the wounded servicemen and women returning to this country in a neck-supporting headgear. How are they going to get a drink of water now?

The report was completed in April and represented a consensus view of the 16 disparate spy services inside government, according to an intelligence official. The official, confirming accounts first published in Sunday's New York Times and Washington Post, spoke on condition of anonymity on Sunday because the report is classified.
Again, anyone who needed this confirmation has their head stuck in the sand. Logic and common sense would allow for knowing that the Iraq war has fomented much more current and future terrorism. Hell, the invasion "confirmed" what radical Islamists have been preaching. The ignorant, poor Muslim in the street now has the "proof" he needed that the US is trying to take over the Muslim world. We played right into the fanatics' hands.
Think about this from the view of the piss-poor Saudi citizen sitting in his hovel eating sheep dung. You think he's not far more likely to sign up for jihad against us? Hell, yeah he is. How hard is this to figure out?!
you think they tell the truth when they try and get volunteers?

I wouldn't give our 16 spy services too much credit. They're still looking for WMDs.
that being said, Sam is right. If you haven't noticed that the terrorism is more widespread and evident now than pre 8-11, you're well over due to lift your head out of the sand.
and peoplel may write off chavez as a kook, but he is only helping to confirm to the nutcases in the middle east that they are not in the wrong.

The astonishingly gross invasion and despoilment of a soverign nation by the Rummy/Cheney (Chimp puppet) cabal has turned a 9/12 99.9% love of America and all it has REALLY stood for into an absolute disaster for the U.S. and the entire world.
The generals are turning on Rummy.
And yet the cabal has NOWHERE to turn--except a normal and proper Goering/Goebels-like suicide.
The U.S. military machine has been drained--like Viet Nam, like Crassius--and again the vile criminals--like Nixon, like Cheney--are flushed onto the barren field of history's harsh account.
It's not your fault, even if you voted for him. You had no idea how foul and perverted was the neocon agenda. Neither did the Germans. Really.

gee lets see. How about using the half life on that sympathy coin for garnering greater worldwide support to fight the terrorists who actually attacked us on 9 11 instead of haring off into the desert and invading a country that has been shown to have had nothing to do with 9 11?mvscal wrote:
Here it goes: What good is it? What, exactly, were we supposed to do with this "sympathy"?
oh and spare me your usual insult laden reply. if you expected an answer that would agree with your bushyopic view of the iraq war you're posting on the wrong board.

Feeldix, you smelly cunt, you're just going to come to the same conclusions as mvscal regarding the "War On Terror" in
the long run, namely, "get those Arab terrorists".
Why are you argueing over trivialities?
Actually, you're a bigger dipshit than he is. At least he stands for something, and defends the philosophy.
You on the other hand are a sniping, bitchy, whiny little George Soros, ass-festering complainer.
You bring nothing to the counter-arguement other than reactionary malcontentisms.

I never said that, nor did I even imply that. What I did say was that we went haring off into Iraq and wasted the opportunity to unite the world against terrorists.mvscal wrote:Are you attempting to suggest that we aren't and haven't been cooperating with military, law enforcement and intelligence agencies around the world?Mister Bushice wrote:How about using the half life on that sympathy coin for garnering greater worldwide support to fight the terrorists who actually attacked us on 9 11
Thus we are we we stand today, Worse off, not better. Divided, not united. All Bush has succeeded in doing is to polarize the world and make the fight against terrorists and terrorism more difficult.
The thing keeping people on task is not "the uniter", but the string of terror attacks that continue to happen around the world.

You say that like the American consumer somehow fits into the equation that includes big oil companies and their foreign markets.Cuda wrote:

It goes like this....
...you send your kids to die in the sand, so oil company execs can send their kids to Ivy League schools.
At no point does the average citizen reap any windfall from the oil grab. But I'm sure the dazzling military parades and jingoistic
newspaper headlines will be payment enough.
Oh yeah, don't forget the medals. The precious, deeply meaningful medals. That, and $1.00 will get you a cup of coffee. Maybe.

* Hungary

Their mission is over and their responsibilities have been handed off to Iraqi units which was the plan from beginning, idiot. Half of the countries on that list never had any troops in Iraq in the first fucking place and many others such as the Canadians are heavily involved in Afghanistan.
This is exactly the mentalaity that has us where we are today. Deeply in debt and getting deeper, with no clear end in sight. There is no need for Eurotrash troops in Iraq.
This is one of the only useful things we are doing in the war on terror. The fact remains that all of them are deeply involved with us in intelligence and law enforcement cooperation.
Untrue. If Bush knew how to do so, he could have used that initial wave of sympathy to garner greater worldwide support and a committment to fight this terrorism and we wouldn't be mired in a dead end war and a mountain of related debt as we are now. But he doesn't. He's a myopic cowboy and he has managed to piss away our resources with no tangible progress in the war on terror. .We aren't engaged in a popularity contest, you moronic fuck. Sympathy won't buy you cup of coffee in this world, dipshit.but go ahead and spin away as if Bush and his policies are so very popular.
Babs as usual is cornred, hunched in his hissing isolationist bluster, insisting that America (and its "exceptionalism") is all that matters, and that somehow the great machine that strode ashore with Mac in the Phillipenes is still bestriding the world as the Great Superpower, etc.
Wake the fuck up, you pathetic jingo cheerleader. The army is QUICKLY running out of soldiers (intractable desert warfare will do that pretty quickly) while the astronomical cost of this Quagmire is draining our already debt-addled economy--which is exactly what the Islamic fundamentalists want.
One point in particular which is most overlooked in all of this is that the MOST opposition to the Islamic fundamentalists is not coming from American forces, but from muslims. That's right, the basic nominally secular muslim locals in Afghanistan and Iraq. The more brutal oppression visited upon the general populace from the West, of course, encourages more and more recruitment for the fundamentalists, just like in the previously secular governed Palestinian territories.
Rummy and his incompetant storm trooping agenda, that is, are the BEST thing that ever happened to the otherwise tiny and marginalized militant fundamentalists. And that's fine with Cheney and his Defense Indusrty buddies.

Senior operational leaders replaced, Al queda has also morphed into a more fluid organization that requires less immediate local direction, the taliban is re-established in Afghanistan, daily bombings with dozens killed every day in iraq with no end in sight.mvscal wrote:Other than having killed thousands upon thousands of their operatives not to mention that most of their senior operational leaders are also dead or in custody. Fuck you, dumbshit.
Recruitment seems to be going well for the terrorists.
Like I said. No tangible progress in the war on terror. If you kill one rat and two more pop up to take its place, you have not made forward progress.
And "Coalition Forces" are getting shot to shit daily. And get ready--because the unthinkable emnity of the Shiite contingent (majority) in Iraq--who we've astonishingly come to support and put into power--is about to erupt. And when we're fighting BOTH the Sunni insurgency and the Shiite majority, it's ALL OVER.
What an unbelievable disaster. Really the worst military miscalculation in modern history, hands down. And WE are going to pay the price.

IVE already fully explained why going into Iraq was correct, and proven correct. In 90, the terrorist ruler of Iraq and his regime, invaded one of our allies, we immediately kicked his pussy ass, and then, SPARED his life, with a cease fire, proving that we are indeed compassionate.
The terrorist then proceeded to break 16 resolutions, and break the CEASE FIRE. Once he did that, ITS OVER, the correct decision was made, he was given 48 hours to leave, his regime and his murdering rapist coward fag sons were also told to leave, and, like the dumb fucks they are, they stayed, and thus, they died like squealing pigs.
now, its funny how gunslinger cant connect those very simple dots, INSTEAD, he chooses to be a self-hating, dick sucking traitor, who not only hates himself, but he hates his country as well, AND, were I to meet him on the street, being the gorilla that I am, I'd rid the world of this treasonous Pig, arrest him for sedition for lying about our commander in chief, then, proceed to beat him to within an inch of his life,
may this traitor rot in hell.
