ATG gets a hole-in-one

Post by The Rat Pack »

The Capitals star aced the fourth hole at the Springfield Golf and Country Club during yesterday's Caps Care Classic charity tournament.

Given his lack of golf experience, it was surprising to see the 21-year-old Russian record the hole-in-one.

"This was my first time playing golf," Ovechkin said. "I guess it's easy."

Last Wednesday he also threw out the first pitch and took batting practice before a Nationals baseball game.
Is there nothing this man can't do?

I also saw picture of him recently with a cute blonde on his arm...he's living quite the charmed life right now.

Lead his team to a winning record, lead his his team to a respectable record, finish a game against a much better team Canada with much better players, not taunt teams when his team is easily defeating them.

Seems to be a lot he can't do.

Yawn
ATG, an NHL player for only a few months, scored the pivotal first goal 90 seconds into the third period and Russia rode goaltender Evgeni Nabokov's superb game to a 2-0 quarterfinal victory over gold medal favorite Canada

With the amount of time you spend riding the man's jock I'm surprised you haven't asked for a hole in one for yourself yet.

I know he is good when Russia is winning. How did he do in the World Juniors against Canada when Phaneuf, Weber and Richards were killing him physically and Canada was kicking Russia's ass on the scoreboard? Oh thats right he quit and didn't come out for the third. He must have tired himself out after taunting the Americans the night before.

But wasn't that BEFORE he was drafted by the Caps? Well, if not, it must have been BEFORE the Caps got their hands on him and showed him the way!

"Who cares about the Olympics...what about some junior tournament?"

Really, Moon. I think it would be best if you stuck to something other than hockey. That's the lamest take this board has seen in a long time.

Taunting Americans? Boo hoo, Moon.

Taunting Americans is a Canadian sport...and now you're coming down on ATG?

Anyway, if you watched the Player awards...you'd know that Mr. Phaneuf called ATG one of the greatest players he has ever seen.

Dion Phaneuf hasn't done anything. He was useless in the playoffs...and his coach hinted that he wasn't a man. Hmmm

Dion Phaneuf had a broken foot in the playoffs.

Uh, and oh yeah... he actually PLAYED IN THE PLAYOFFS.

Something "ATG" is years away from realizing.

Who cares if Dian was injured? Whether Dian Phaneuf was hurt is irrelevant.

The bottom line is that Dian quit. He couldn't do it when it mattered most.
Anaheim was killing him physically.

Dian Phaneuf finished a series-worst minus -7.

Oops, I'm getting sidetracked.. This isn't about what a pussy Phaneuf is....or that his coach called him a bleeding tampon...the question is why didn't an injured ATG come back and take on 3 guys in some Jr. tournament years ago.

That's Spanish. You know, the language spoken by half of Major League Baseball (including the Washington Senators err Nationals)?

Far be it for me to actually expect you to show some modicum of intelligence, Bandwagon Rodent. :meds:
