Penguins sold to Jim Balsillie for $175 Million

Who made a hold payment on Copps Coliseum in Hamilton earlier this year.

Hmmm He's from Peterborough. I think it's the beginning of the end for Pittsburgh.

It isn't in the league's best interest to have a team in Hamilton. Copps Coliseum is dated by today's standards. Buffalo and Toronto will never allow a team to be put there.

And that would make the Igloo in Pittsburgh what?

It absolutely is in the league's best interest to have a team in Hamilton. At least this market can support a team..

Pittsburgh should have build a new rink instead of PNC park for a team that hasn't been good in 15 years.

Should have and could have had their chance.

Pittsburgh's had plenty of chance to do something for the Penguins..

They chose not to.

Time expired...

If Hamilton got a team...ground being broke on a new rink would begin within a day.

The league won't care. Buffalo can't afford a fight. The only opponent are the Leafs. It would make a great legal batle that I'm sure Toronto would lose.

I'm pretty certain Jim Balsillie has no intentions of moving the team anywhere other than Canada. Regardless the cost.

He seems on a real mission to cut into the soft underbelly of Ontario

RACK!

I'd have no problem with having a team from Florida placed in KC...

The rivalry's already there between KC and Denver and KC and St. Louis.
