North Korea Says they Tested a Nuke

Yet the US Geological Agency can't find any seismic activity.

Maybe the lunatic Jong-Il thinks he can just say they blew one off and everyone would be like "wow
Here's some free rice and gatorade you slant eyed whacko"

If they did, and it's proven they did, expect some kind of military response.
Since he is obviously insane, though... and reports indicate they have enough material for up to 5 small bombs,

Yes they detonated a nuke test. Seismac confirmation was registered in Austrailia, at least. And what will the neocons do about it? Jack fucking squat. As usual.

After all, we are the same Superpower that blithley signed off on Pakistan having a Bomb. Who else WANTS one? Seriously. Name one even moderately major nation that doesn't have nukes--with delivery systems. Japan?

From the A.P. ........ (not ZZ) .....

U.S. Geological Survey said it recorded a seismic event with a preliminary magnitude of 4.2 in northeastern North Korea that coincided with the country’s announced nuclear test.

Love this comment:
Zhang Liangui, an expert on North Korea at the Central Party School, a top think-tank in Beijing, said it was unlikely Japan would seek to become a nuclear weapons state, because of U.S. opposition, but other states may be encouraged to proliferate.

"It will be like America, where everybody thinks he has the right to own a gun," he said. "The first country to be encouraged by this will be
Iran, and then other countries in the Middle East."

You don't dare fuck with the UN baby. They'll pass some kick ass resolutions and really let them Koreans have it.

Then the North Koreans will tell the UN to go fuck itself.

Then the UN will really pass some more tough resolutions.

The UN will tell them to knock it off or else.

Then North Korea will test some more nukes.

Then the UN will tell them, you had better stop or the will be serious ramifications.

And North Korea will threaten to lob some missiles with nukes over the Sea of Japan.

Then the UN will say if you do that, we will have to pass some tough resolutions to keep you from doing that again.

Then North Korea will actually lob a nuke over the Sea of Japan.

The UN will pass tough resolutions putting North Korea on notice, that that will not be tolerated.

Then North Korea will threaten to lob a nuke into South Korea.

And the UN will say, thats enough already, if you do that, we will really be pissed, and we will pass more resoultions to put you on notice, that this will not be tolerated.

Then US fighters from Seoul will scramble and intercept a missle headed for Seoul. It will be shot down over North Korean Airspace, resulting in civilian deaths of North Koreans.

And the UN, along with China and Russia will condemn the US for imperialist aggression.
You know I know, and I know you know that I know.

Don't forget about the Iranians. They're already blaming us for this first launch.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - Iranian state radio Monday blamed North Korea's reported nuclear test on U.S. pressure, accusing Washington of "humiliating" the impoverished communist country.

"Not only did the United States not lift the sanctions it had imposed on North Korea, it even increased the diplomatic pressure. Such pressure finally led North Korea to conduct its nuclear test," Iranian state radio said in a commentary.

"Who's Next" by Tom Leher - (dated, but still relevent)

First we got the bomb and that was good,
'Cause we love peace and motherhood.
Then Russia got the bomb, but that's O.K.,
'Cause the balance of power's maintained that way!
Who's next?

France got the bomb, but don't you grieve,
'Cause they're on our side (I believe).
China got the bomb, but have no fears;
They can't wipe us out for at least five years!*
Who's next?

Then Indonesia claimed that they
Were gonna get one any day.
South Africa wants two, that's right:
One for the black and one for the white!**
Who's next?

Egypt's gonna get one, too,
Just to use on you know who.
So Israel's getting tense,
Wants one in self defense.
"The Lord's our shepherd," says the psalm,
But just in case, we better get a bomb!
Who's next?

Luxembourg is next to go
And, who knows, maybe Monaco.
We'll try to stay serene and calm
When Alabama gets the bomb!
Who's next, who's next, who's next?
Who's next?

Oh yeah, Quite well. :meds:
Student fires gun in Mo. middle school

By MARCUS KABEL, Associated Press Writer 25 minutes ago

JOPLIN, Mo. - A 13-year-old student fired an AK-47 into the ceiling at his middle school Monday morning after confronting a pair of students and administrators, telling them, "please don't make me do this," officials said.

No one was injured, and the boy was taken into custody.

The student, who was not identified, pointed the gun at two students and Principal Steve Gilbreth and Assistant Superintendent Steve Doerr and asked them, "not to make me do this," said School Superintendent Jim Simpson.

The boy then fired a shot into the ceiling, breaking a water pipe, Simpson said. After firing the shot, he said, the boy again said, "Please don't make me do this."

"It was a very close call," Simpson said.

Doerr and Gilbreth persuaded the student to leave the building, and he was confronted by two police officers who had their weapons drawn. The student dropped the rifle and was taken into custody, Simpson said.

Joplin police Officer Curt Farmer said officers found a note in the student's backpack indicating that he had placed an explosive in the school, which has about 750 students. Students in the school were moved to nearby Joplin Memorial Hall, where parents picked them up.

The school was closed while police searched the building.

The student, who was wearing a mask, had been planning an attack for a "long time," Simpson said. He didn't elaborate and said authorities did not know whether others were involved.

It wasn't immediately clear how the boy got access to the assault rifle.

The shooting happened about 7:45 a.m., 10 minutes before the start of classes.

A woman who was dropping her son off at the school said she saw Gilbreth "waving crazily" and police cars pulling up behind her.

"Police were heading into the school with weapons drawn, and the principal was pointing to the east side of the school," Blake Spivak told The Joplin Globe.

Spivak, former advertising director for the newspaper, said she and her son, Cooper, stayed in the car while Gilbreth walked back into the school flanked by armed officers in protective jackets. She said an officer told her to get down or get her car away from the scene.

Joplin, which has about 40,900 residents, is in southwest Missouri, on the Kansas border about 140 miles south of Kansas City.

Schools across the country have been on alert since three deadly school shootings in three states in the span of a week, and several schools have been locked down or closed entirely during the past two weeks because of threats.

In Pennsylvania Amish country Monday morning, church bells tolled across the region in remembrance of the five young girls who were shot to death at their one-room schoolhouse one week earlier.

Where in fuck all does a 13 yr old get an AK 47?

A 14-year-old child was made a ward of the juvenile court after the juvenile court sustained petitions alleging that the child had thrown rocks at a public bus, assaulted four people, drove a vehicle unlawfully, and possessed a stolen car. The child came to the attention of the police after he and a friend threw rocks at a public bus. The children were seen by another child, who reported them to the police.

The police then came to the companion's house and questioned both. When the officer told the child that he had been seen throwing rocks at a bus, the child denied the allegation. The officer then handcuffed the child and placed him in the patrol car for five minutes. When the officer returned, he took the child out of the car, took off the handcuffs, and resumed questioning. While questioning the child, the officer suggested that it was "a pretty stupid thing" to throw rocks at the bus. The child replied, implicitly confessing, "Yeah, it was a pretty dumb thing for us to do." The officer did not take the child into custody at that time; instead, the child was arrested six weeks later. At the jurisdictional hearing the child objected to admission of the statement. The juvenile court allowed the statement to be admitted after concluding that Miranda v. Arizona (1966) 384 U.S. 436 was inapplicable because the child was not subject to custodial restraint when he confessed.

The child appealed, contending that the court's order in the rock-throwing case was tainted by the admission of the statement he made in violation of Miranda. The Court of Appeal rejected the child's appeal, holding that although none of the warnings or waivers required by Miranda were given, the statement was admissible because the child was not subject to custodial restraint when the questions were asked. The court reviewed the facts and found that because the child was told that he was not under an obligation to answer the questions, because the handcuffs were removed once he left the car, he was not in custody. The court explicit rejected the child's reliance on a case, In re Pablo C. (1982) 129 Cal.App.3d 984, that had not been controlling law for more than 15 years. The case held that "a Miranda warning must be given as soon as probable cause to arrest has been established [citation] or as soon as the subject is physically deprived of his action in any significant way or reasonably believes so [citations]." In contrast, the court relied on the United States Supreme Court decision in Stansbury v. California (1994) 511 U.S. 318, to find that "`custody depends on the objective circumstances of the interrogation, not on the subjective views harbored by either the interrogating officers or the person being questioned.'" The court also relied on People v. Taylor (1986) 178 Cal.App.3d 217, which holds that "[f]or Miranda purposes, ... the crucial consideration is the degree of coercive restraint to which a reasonable [person] believes he is subject at the time of questioning.'[italics added]" Based on these authorities, and the circumstances that (1) the child had been released from the handcuffs and police car, (2) the child was never told he was going to be arrested, (3) the child was told he did not need to answer the officer's questions, (4) the encounter was short, and (5) the officer left the scene alone and did not arrest the child for another six weeks.

Where in the fuck, does a 14 year old get rocks and a car?

Contrary to what the rest of the world might think, in the United States, the areas with the highest percentages of gun ownership have the lowest rates of gun violence/violent crime.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Police have identified a man fatally shot in southeast Portland Saturday night.

Galen Patrick Sloan died after he was taken to OHSU.

An autopsy performed today revealed that the 39-year-old died from a pair of gunshot wounds to the torso.

Homicide detectives have learned that Sloan and another man had gone to an apartment after an earlier altercation with a person who lives there.

Police say Sloan and the other man forced their way in and Sloan was shot by the resident.

Police have yet to release the name of the resident, who remained at the scene and has been cooperative.

Police are still looking for the man who accompanied Sloan to the apartment.

Yep, you haven't had any drive-bys from Prince Charles. Shame about kids being shot in schools, and all that minor shit.
Yet burglaries of occupied homes are practically unheard of here in the nasty old colonies- and those few that do occur usually turn out verry badly for the burglar

When three would-be robbers entered a Commerce City, Colo., residence, one of them pulled a knife, according to officials. The two men and a woman apparently had planned to rob an acquaintance; but the homeowner resisted the threat, drawing his semi-automatic handgun and shooting the two men. After the three fled, they called for medical help from a cousin's house. The police followed shortly thereafter. "As soon as they get out of the hospital, we'll be there to meet and greet them," said Sgt. Craig Coleman of the Adams County Sheriff's Dept.

A woman shot and injured a gunman in her yard early one Sunday, cutting short his assault on her and her children. Jaquie Creazzo and her three daughters were forced to flee their home after smoke from a car fire billowed into the house. Once they were outside, Justin Michael Getz came screaming toward the wheelchair-bound woman and her family, firing two handguns at them. "He was loaded for bears," Creazzo said. Her daughters and two nearby firefighters ducked for cover from the erratic gunfire, but Creazzo drew her own gun and fired several shots, hitting her attacker in the leg. Getz was the ex-boyfriend of Creazzo's eldest child, and, according to Creazzo, had threatened to kill the family two days earlier when the girl refused to see him again. "I'm certain if I hadn't responded, none of us would be here today," Creazzo said of the incident. "He had made threats to kill each and every one of us."

After a 72-year-old grandmother heard noises in the back yard of her Colorado Springs, Colo., home late one night, she called out to ask who was there, then grabbed her gun. Seconds later, an intruder slammed into the bolted back door, but the feisty woman was ready with her.38-cal. revolver. Four shots sent the man fleeing to a car, but police quickly caught up with him after he allegedly caused two hit-and-run accidents. He was later investigated in connection with two rapes that occurred in the same area. The elderly victim later reflected, "What would I have done if I hadn't had my gun? I would have been just another statistic."

Mike Smith was napping when the sound of someone breaking into his home jarred him back to consciousness. He clutched a .38-caliber pistol with one hand and dialed 9-1-1 with the other. According to reports, when he stepped into the hallway, he saw the silhouette of a man through his window blinds and an alleged female burglar in the foyer. When she stepped toward him, he gripped the pistol with both hands and fired several shots. Both suspects fled. The woman was apprehended by police and was taken to the hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Her male accomplice was still being sought. "There's no doubt that committing burglary is extremely dangerous ... because you don't know ... if the homeowner is going to be armed," said Sgt. Terrell Marshall of the Sacramento Police Department.

Candy Mitchell of Waterford, California, started losing sleep after she learned that her ex-boyfriend was released from jail. He had served only two months of a six-month sentence for physically abusing her, so it did not seem like a coincidence when, night after night, she heard strange noises in her back yard and banging on her bedroom walls. Despite repeated calls to the police, no prowler was ever found. But the night Mitchell heard someone enter her home, she grabbed the gun she kept next to her bed and, when she saw a man heading for her daughter's room, fired several times. Her ex-boyfriend, John 'Bud' Russell, stumbled outside. When police arrived, they found Russell dead in his truck. Mitchell later said, "I could not imagine any reason he'd be in my house but to kill me."

When Edward Lucas, Sr., checked to see why the neighbor's German shepherd was barking in the early morning hours, he found a man trying to break through his door. "I yelled, 'Get out of my house!' but he kept coming," Lucas said. "I was scared to death." The 63-year-old then grabbed a .22-cal. rifle and yelled for his girlfriend to jump out the window and call the police at a neighbor's house. According to police, when the intruder crashed through the door, Lucas shot at him at least four times. The assailant, who had 14 criminal convictions including seven felonies, died on the scene.

Police were still investigating an odd string of events that ended with a home invasion. Witnesses said the intruder approached at least four homes, banging on and breaking windows and jumping over chain-link fences before breaking through Pete Frinks' front door. "It's scary that he would do this in broad daylight, knowing people are in the house," said a neighbor. Police say the man approached Frinks, who later described the intruder as acting "aggressively" and "irrationally." In fear of his life, Frinks grabbed a handgun and shot his assailant in the chest, killing him.

The rocks would naturally come from your head.

The car? Off the blocks in your front yard.

This is just a big misunderstanding. North Korea actually said that they were testing a gook, not a nuke.

The result was a high math score and low verbal.
why is my neighborhood on fire

If so, then yes america should get rid of guns. If that would magically make everyone love each other and end all crime....

People against guns are morons. If someone once to kill you bad enough they will, just look at history prior to the gun

Look at it this way. If you had as much education as you've had time shooting your weapons, your post might have been somewhat intelligible.

As it is you come across as a moron, AND you own a gun. Bad combination.
