The officers used a field test kit
Bowl/dugout/papers and a lighter for the rest of us.

Let's see -- cop was astute enough to recognize the exact taste of marijuana on a greasy burger. But then, couldn't keep it together, and started "acting odd"?

Yeah. That story doesn't reek of bullshit, or anything.

Oh, and nevermind that it usually takes several hours before ingested marijuana produces any effects, and nevermind that a small quantity of marijuana sprinkled on the burger would be a fraction of the required orally-ingested dose that it takes to produce any noticable effect...except possibly in a regular, heavy user.

But nope...no complete bullshit here.

I'm a hell of a lot more interested in knowing just how the THC was made active simply by sprinkling the weed on a burger. Now had they taken the weed and fried it up in some butter and then mixed said compound with the meat, then I could see the stuff having an effect say... about an hour or so later. But just sprinkling weed on a burger damn sure isn't going to have an effect.

Or so I've heard.

Well then, you heard wrong.

Cooking weed down in butter or oil doesn't "activate it," or anything of the kind.

The reason you cook down the doje is so you don't have to eat the fibrous parts of the plant. THC is oil-soluble, and simmering it in butter or other cooking oil will put most of theTHC in solution. Then, the oil is typically used in a brownie or cookie recipe.

But simmering the weed certainly doesn't remove 100% of the THC. Eating it straight is still slightly more effective than eating it in cookies or brownies -- just a great, great deal less palatable.

Or so I know for fact....ERRRR, I mean "heard."

I want to know what "acting odd" entails for those officers.
Probably involved waking up in bed next to that giant-headed Burger King.
