Attention computer geeks

Post by DallasFanatic »

When I launch my Internet Explorer it should launch to ESPN, however it gets interupted and goes to a internet security homepage. It tries to tell me I have a computer virus and to buy their product. I think its bullshit but how do I clean my computer so it doesn't do this?

Any info is appreciated, and all jackasses need not reply.

TIA

Update your antivirus, update any adware removal prograns like adAware, Spybot & Spywareblaster.

Download and install CCleaner (google it)

Using F8 at computer boot choose the option to boot your machine into Safe Mode

Run CCleaner, Run a full antivirus scan (All Drives) includeing ALL Files.

Run a full scan using all your Adware Removal Programs.

Alco use the Run Command MSCONFIG and see take a look at your Startup info...

BTW- You owe me a 12 pack...

You're suffering from a Trojan.

Prevex can fix it up for you. Install a trial version, and let it do the job.

I try to boot into safe mode but it won't let me log in. I am not connected to my network, but it usually requires me to log in anyways. However now, it won't in safe mode.

Any suggestions?

And a 36 pack is being sent your way

Can't we just ban Meds instead?

Too costly. The ensuing carnage would jack up PrimeX's KY costs.
