Redshins taken to the woodshed Part 2
We all know the Cowboys are coming off a much needed win against the Panthers. Romo looked very capable of leading this ball club. Playing on the road, against one of the best defenses in the NFL and coming up with a win is huge. I expect this confidence to continue over to Fed Ex field, where the Boys will light up the scoreboard again. The defense will have to do their best to get to Brunell or Campbell and keep Moss in check. Not an impossible order so I am liking the Boys. I am not sure I'd be saying this if Bledsoe was the starter.

In for all sig/av bets...
Boys roll to another convincing win. Romo is still a very young QB and will make some mistakes, but he sure looked more poised than Bledsoe. Drew was killing us with sacks and Ill advised throws under pressure. Sure Romo will make some bad decissions, but his added mobility more than makes up for that.
It's Cowboys v Redskins. Few things are more enjoyable in life.
Go ahead and assume the position, you fellas know the drill!

Spackler was always good for some smack as well.
Are we just left with Redskin realists who know they don't have a chance?
C'mon fellas. Make some shit up.
We've got a rookie QB... Isn't Gregg Williams going to make him cry for his mammy? Gibbs is a genius. You've all told us before. Surely he can gameplan a victory?
Redskins is offensive to native Americans... Change your name to "Cowboy's bitches"...
Anything!!!

The Cowboys will enter DC this week with swollen heads from beating the Panthers. Their D will be pumped, but idiotically they will hit Brunell and knock him out of the game. The savior JC will enter the game, after walking on water and healing Brunell, leading the Skins to victory by handing the ball to Portis and occasionally throwing the ball further than 5 yards. Then I will wake up and watch Brunell chuck it 2 yards to a RB or behind the LOS to a WR. However, Portis will be able to get some yards and score a TD or 2.
The Skins D will be able to confuse Romo with an unparalleled lack of pass rush. Unfortunately, Holdman and Andre Carter will make Jones and Barber look like HOFamers through their uncanny ability to miss tackles and downright suck. But it will not be enough as the Skins will have both starting CBs for the first time this season. TO is afraid to catch the ball when Sean Taylor is on the field and will have a number of drive-killing drops. ARE also scores on a punt return.

Quit trying to troll us into posting all myopically. You Cockboy fans just can't shake that little gambit of yours, can you? I guess it was fun for you to the point of habitual to instigate and then watch gdub chase his tail, but isn't it beyond cruel to torture a retard and then laugh?
I would say that's low even for you, but then I remembered who I'm typing to.
This isn't any old Rivalry Week this time. This game is the impending doomsday for the condemned, for Dead Fan Walking. We're staring down the probable moment where Dallas of all teams ends our season in our crib, in a sweep. Right at the midpoint of the year. 8 and done fellas, with the 'Boys applying the coup de grace. So excuse the fukk outta us if it seems like a rather lethargic week of posting from 'Skins Nation.
We might have a reason why our posts are less than stellar.
What's yours?

Bwaahh nice post Velo.
I think Dallas has too many weapons on Offense for the Skins putrid D to defend. And we will blitz the crap out of Brunell and hammer his ass. Until the Panther game, the Boys have beaten all the weak ass sisters of the NFL, so why should this week be any different.

Velo, you know I love you any week but this one...
But your post was exactly what I was after...
Any response.
It's Cowboys/Redskins. It doesn't matter who sucks. We all know that position is currently filled by the weak sister of the NFC East known as the Skins. We know you miss the Cards, that way you wouldn't be in last. We all know your season is over...
But Cowboys v Redskins is something special. It's that "anything can happen" game. All rules are out the window. Don't miss the opportunity that only comes twice a year to be myopic, and to have reason to be myopic. We all know the skins suck. But Cowboys/Redskins, as evidenced last year, is that broken clock theory. It's right twice a day...
btw, Sunday isn't when your clock will be right.

If the Skins can't beat Tennessee at home why would they be able to beat Dallas at home .... ?
Dallas playing the 2nd of back-to-back roadies works in Washington's favor though.
You never know for sure what to expect from a team coming off a bye week.
Help or hurt the Skins ... ?
I don't see that many pts in this game.
Take the under.
Dallas is the better team, and they win on a late FG, 20-17.

Christ Cowpoke fans. Does the highlight of yalls season remain beating the hapless Skins? It certainly is not the playoffs considering the last victory in that venue was in December 1996.
I will make a few adjustments to my earlier prediction. With Santana not abusing Roy Williams this game, Brunell will be forced to look at other receivers. ARE and Lloyd will force many horse-collar tackles by slow-footed safeties. I also see TO pissing his panties as Sean Taylor knocks a ball out of his hands into the hands of a LB for a long return. Adjusted score:
Skins 31
Turds 17

From NFL.com:
Five Yards
19. Grasping facemask of the ball carrier or quarterback.
15 Yards
8. Twisting, turning, or pulling an opponent by the facemask.
From Extremeskins.com:
![Image](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v481/bubba9497/TV2006110517595500.gif)
It may have been a ticky-tack call, but it fell into the 15 yard variety according to the rules. Taylor's helmet was twisted, turned, and/or pulled, not simply grasped.

What you posted there from NFL.com says, twisting, turning, or pulling an opponent by the facemask.
It doesn't say, twisting, turning, or pulling the facemask of an opponent.
There's a difference.
Was Taylor (not just his helmet) turned, pulled or twisted .... ?
Didn't look that way on the replay.
The facemask grab hardly stopped his momentum.
And also, on that pic that you posted, would not his head already be facing that direction (pretty much) in order to be looking upfield toward where he was going to be running ... ?
I don't think it was near a 90 degree turn of the helmet, as you say.
Hey, maybe it was a 15 yarder, but from what I've been used to seeing in the NFL, it takes a lot more HANGING ON to a facemask for a 15 yard penalty to be called.

Plus, the officials create new 15 yard penalties in the name of Sean Taylor every week...this week's concoction being when he barely grazed Romo's legs a split second after he released the ball. I think they threw the flag right as Taylor was blitzing and just figured they'd make up a roughing penalty no matter what happened.
So perhaps they felt guilty about flagging him all season for nothing?
Not to get into a debate on NFL rulebook semantics, but I would assume that the head and neck are a part of the opponent. And they were twisted and turned.poptart wrote:What you posted there from NFL.com says, twisting, turning, or pulling an opponent by the facemask.

Here are pics that show the progression of the facemask. Unless Taylor's plan was to admire the crack of his ass, I doubt he intentionally turned his head that direction.poptart wrote:also, on that pic that you posted, would not his head already be facing that direction (pretty much) in order to be looking upfield toward where he was going to be running ... ?

I am simply saying that the call can be justified by application of the rules. It was not a phantom call or some made up tuck-rule bullshit. And, from what I am used to seeing in the NFL, penalties and other calls seem to be a random crapshoot.poptart wrote:Hey, maybe it was a 15 yarder, but from what I've been used to seeing in the NFL, it takes a lot more HANGING ON to a facemask for a 15 yard penalty to be called.

good game dallasfan. my apologies for being late to the party- havent missed an opportunity to talk smack here about boys/skins for years- so i wont rub it in. much.
so, in summary- the 15 yarder was unquestionably legit, though at game speed it didnt appear that way. the pics dont lie.
and thats 3 out of the last 4, boys fans. nice to see the rivalry back and the scales tipping back to where they ought to be.

I place this on Parcells. Going for two was a bad move. Kick the PAT in the 1st quarter, and we're debating nothing. Cowboys are kneeling at that point.
Props to the Skins. They managed to not fuck up, where we did!

Hey BrokeBack mofo's, let's not let this face mask call decide the outcome of the game. Man up and take your lumps. The bottom line here is, SCOREBOARD!
This was our SuperBowl this season and it feels mighty fine. Congrats to the cowpokes for not kissing during yesterdays debacle.
This kinda shit has gone both ways every year dating back to the evolution of man kind, happens every week no matter who's playing.
What I enjoy the most is when everyone glosses the Skins as bitches or losers or whatever you'd like to call'em, then what does this make the Cowchuncks now?
My Red-Shins are sore. Sore from kicking Cowboyup ass yesterday.

Jesus H Christ I am about to go GDub in this bitch. I want to melt like no other but I will not give Foreskin fan that satisfaction. The loss yesterday was probably tougher than last years loss to the Skins at home. This one hurt, and more than likely, crippled the Boys playoff chances. This game should have been over, but not because the missed two point conversion. It was the perfectly thrown 60 yard pass to TO that fucked us. Geebus this loss kills me. Oh well, another 9-7 season is upon us. It could be worse I guess.

stuckinia, if you posted a pic just prior to Taylor's facemask being contacted I am thinking his helmet would have been facing in about this direction.
![Image](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v481/bubba9497/TV2006110517594500.gif)
When his facemask was initially hit by the hand it would initially move in the opposite direction in which it ended up going ..... to about here.....
![Image](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v481/bubba9497/TV2006110517592300.gif)
Initial contact would move the helmet right, then the pull would move it back the other way, of course.

Sorry for the tardiness Cowfolk. Here is a sig for the next couple days:
On Sunday, I was once again shown that my floppy-breasted coach is out of his league against a true Hall of Famer. I long for the days when Gibbs would violate the Cowturds with a team that was actually talented instead of one with a washed-up, noodle-armed QB. To sum it up, my team sucks more than the Skins.
