So there you go. If your old lady has spent the last few years on the sofa ramming handfuls of Cheetos into her maw and not buying enough slut-pants, God thinks it's fair enough if you start snorting meth out of rent boy's arseholes. The fucking eejit wrote:Most pastors I know do not have satisfying, free, sexual conversations and liberties with their wives. At the risk of being even more widely despised than I currently am, I will lean over the plate and take one for the team on this. It is not uncommon to meet pastors’ wives who really let themselves go; they sometimes feel that because their husband is a pastor, he is therefore trapped into fidelity, which gives them cause for laziness. A wife who lets herself go and is not sexually available to her husband in the ways that the Song of Songs is so frank about is not responsible for her husband’s sin, but she may not be helping him either.

First you find out your husband is an arse bandit. Then, some other Bible-bashing fuckwit says that it's your fault;

It's true....
The "Song of Soloman," AKA the Only Erotic Verse Permitted by Christers, seems..well, to suggest...uh, some...uh.."poop-chuting"---or, shall we say, "freakin'"
Never mind, the Christer SS camp is teetering--think Lost Sheep..
As for the wife of Reich Marshall Haggard, she's already been long attuned to the vibe of meth-sex...
What...?...didn't you suppose those cultists were/are just regular fuckstains, etc...?

Haggard's wife is not the source of the problem.
I don't know all that much about him, his church, or his ministry, but I was most interested by this part of his 'confession and apology'.

Is there something you would like to tell the group? Getting anal plungerings? Or just a meth addict? Go ahead, we won't laugh.poptart wrote:Haggard's wife is not the source of the problem.

BTW: Even more interesting was his last sermon, where he prayed that lies would be exposed and that the electorate would come to know wisdom for the election.
I'd say that his prayer was answered.

You're in a battle within yourself, Bri, and you can feel it.
What it is that picks away at you may or may not be something as 'severe' as Haggard's problem, but your sickness, left untreated, will eventually get over on you.
Despite good-intentions, diligence, and effort, all men reach their limit.
It finally caves in.

Haggard likes to nuzzle up to stinky manbungholes. In my book, that's indeed "repulsive and dark". His buddy understands, because lots of preacher wives make themselves into sows.~ I am a deceiver and a liar. This is the braintrust that leads the charge against the evils of Gay Marriage?
Good luck with that.

It's great being a Christian Fundamentalist. You can bang on about the Dev whilst having bum-sex and doing class As - and when you get caught, you can turn round and say; "See? It's that Devil I was talking about! He MADE me do it! Now give me some more money, you cunts"

Biggie's scandal was jumping off his balcony while stoned & breaking his ankle. Meth had nothing to do with it as far as I know

P-tart illustrates the curious hypocrisy mixed with ignorance common to the Christer.
Look, Haggard's "confession" is merely an expression of self-hatred. He IS a gay man, and he's treating it like a disease. Forget the meth--as disgusting as it is--and consider that he's in total denial of his homosexuality. Like P-tart. If you ARE gay then you should accept it--and demand to be free from discrimination because of it, btw.
Haggard's lies and deceptions are based in his bizarre religio/facist compound in Colorado Springs. That's what he needs to face. But he's abviously a long way from that. Like P-tart.

You sound terribly conflicted yourself, LTS TRN 2.
On the one hand, you approve, lovingly, of fags, yet on the other hand, you have a healthy loathing for Faggard.
Maybe you two should get a room...
... and a gallon jar of vaseline
... and a hunk of meth big enough to choke a cow
... and make up your mind once and for all.

No, I am acknowledging that there is some fundamental human truth in Haggard's comments which I posted.Uncle Fester wrote:Dude, it sounds like you are outing yourself.

People are born deformed.
As they move through life they take on behaviors, thoughts, methods, and actions in attempt to bring themselves comfort, pleasure, or accomodation.
The behaviors serve to deform them more, and ultimately lead to much unhappiness.
At some time serious problems or disasters come crashing down on them.
You have inside of you (yes, Sam, you too) the same virus that Ted Haggard has.
His symptoms manifested in a particular way.
Your own symptoms may or may not look as awful as his, but it's all part of the same tree.
Ted Haggard ..... repulsive, dark ... ?
Yes, definitely so.
Also dark and insidious are financial problems, compulsive gambling, religion, porn-addiction, alcoholism, perfectionism, family trouble, etc, etc .... on and on .....
All symptoms of the same virus, and the virus is no respector of a person's class or level.
Haggard conducted himself as a fraud, and I'm sure that his ministry and church don't present of foster the accurate Gospel.
Consider the Words of Christ .....
Matthew 16:13: When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14: And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15: He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16: And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17: And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18: And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
The American church, long ago, went away from speaking that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God.
Instead it has become entrenched in traditions, legalism, humanism, and mysticism.
Church-goers are not fed properly at all, and they act wierd.
They don't receive correct answers to their problems at church, and the churches focus on dumb things.
As a result, the church in America is dying.
It will be reformed once again though, and will be built on God's one and only Covenant with man ......
Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God.
Sudden Sam wrote: And I'm not trying to demean your belief system. It's just that I don't feel the way you do.
Forgive Pop...he's been brainwashed into being a hate-filled bigot.
But the brainwashing(since birth) is deep enough that it's very doubtful he'll ever be able to see it...and for this I feel truly bad for him.
I got 99 problems but the 'vid ain't one
Definitely not.

Haggard is GAY. That's all I've pointed out. The fact that he--and P-tart--regard this as a disease, or something "evil" is the ludicrous hypocrisy I'm pointing out.
Keeping up?
The REAL astonishing hypocrisy, I point out, is in the very Christo/fascist compound Haggard and his kind have carved into the American cultural landscape. This bizarre charade of a fascist farce is not really so different from...well, what the hell CAN you compare it to?
Haggard's wife?....I'm reminded of two Christers talking...one says: "I think my wife's died"...and the other says "WHAT! What do you mean you THINK she's died?"...and first one replies, " "Well, the sex is about the same, but the dishes are piling up!"
Uh, Wakey wake, Pastor Ted (meth-fudge) is a QUEER. Okay?
I'm not conflicted on this question. Are you?
I support his--and anyone else'--right to be queer, and not suffer discrimination thereby. Any questions?
Why do I support it? Because despite such venal parasitical fuckstains as Haggard, Melhman, and Rove (and J.Edgar Hoover), we as a SPECIES--the human race--are thoroughly indebted to all manner of exceptionally talented queers throughout history in all walks of life for their respective contributions to human society. It's as simple as that. What, you want a list?...

You're right, Nish, it has been interpreted and re-interpreted.
There was nothing to interpret or re-interpret for the folks who were witness to the risen Christ, though.
They simply knew that Jesus was indeed the Christ.
From those people the belief in the Jesus Christ spread through that region, and later to the rest of the world.
Upon that rock (those who know that Jesus is the Christ) He said He would build his church.

As for the "ideologies" of pacifism, social equality, integrity, and simplicity, how are these not advocated also by Christ? Are these ideas not what underlie the New Testament? Of course they are.
I can understand how you prefer to define your beliefs on a more ad hoc basis, however. It's easier to define your beliefs when you aren't really asking to understand them in the first place.
