What do you think of your Jamie Moyer signing?
As a Mariner fan I think hes solid.Low four ERA,maybe high three. In ten starts he'll have one stinker, two real gems, and 7 starts where he will give up 3 or 4 runs over 7 innings.Good defense, solid clubhouse and community guy.
I kinda wished the M's could have got him back, but its time for a new era in Seattle, and I will check the box scores each time he pitches.

I am really glad the Phillies brought him back. Baseball aside for a minute- I used to work with a relative of his who said that while he and his family love the Seattle area (and they won’t be moving any time soon) she said he really wanted to play for the Phillies before he retired. The fact that he re-signed is proof that he wants to play for his childhood team before he lets the game go. Rack him and the Phillies for getting it done.
As for the team, the clubhouse got a whole lot better once Abreu was traded and Moyer was brought in. They finally had a true veteran starter that the younger guys could talk to. He has been a great mentor to Cole Hammels and the way Hammels pitched the 2nd half of the year, you can tell Moyer had taken the kid under his wing.
If the Phillies are able to find a #1 in the F/A market, they will compete with the Cardinals, Mets etc.. very quickly.
