Anybody "Livid" Outside of Denver
The fines came down from Sunday evenings altercation between Olshansky and Nalen.
Igor drew a $10,000 fine for throwing two retalitory punches on the back of the head of Nalen. Nalen picked up a $25,000 fine for "blocking" Olshansky.
Fuck the Broncos and their outrage. It was a spike play to kill the clock, there was pretty much no or little contact between the O and D lines because all knew Plummer was spiking the ball. Well except for that asshole Nalen who took it as an opporotunity to take a dive at Igor's knees. Nalen is a cowardly piece of shit and he deserved more of a beatdown on the field, and the balance of the fines seems appropriate to me. Looking forward to seeing what the D'Line has in store when Denver comes to town in a few week.
It's not forgotten with Charger fan that Nalen is the asshole that took a dive at the back of Jamal Williams legs a few years ago that blew out his ankle and the end of his season.

Ever since Marino made the Fake Spike famous in 1994, it's become a part of every team's playbook. Never assume. Always be on your toes... especially against the cunts on Denver's O line.
Olshansky's interview with Jim Stone after the game was classic.
He was all apologetic to the fans and team, admitting that he had lost his composure at a critical point in the game, and that it would never happen again. A learning experience and all that.
That being said, he then went on to say that the Dungver O line were all a bunch of "wusses" (yes he used that term). They constantly cut block and hold and everybody knows it. It's their scheme and the refs never call it, so they keep doing it because they can get away with it. Why do you think that any running back that plays behind that line can always always be successful? Because they're dirty. If they ever played straight-up "smash mouth" football they'd get their asses kicked.
Anyway, that's what he said.

note to eggo fans: when the Broncos roll into town maybe a group of you should go out to the airport and start shooting Denver linemen as they exit the plane.......
I'm guessing that would probably fulfill your indignant self-righteousness......
hey, how are Marlin McCree and Derreck Robinson doing......
get out, get out while there's still time

EAD Greenie :D
We're all fans of our teams, unrelenting hypocrisy and myopia is SOP.
You keep bringing up McCree, the NFL didn't deem his shoulder to shoulder hit worthy of a fine. Housh was knocked senseless when he decided to slam his head in Godfrey's knee as he was running by. Stupid mofo, he should no better than to whack is head on other peoples knees as he drops to his knees like a wittle baby.
Robinson?, he is some backup to a backup scrub, he did something stupid a couple of weeks ago but I forgot what it was.
Merriman you ask, don't know, he hasn't been in the news lately. Supposedly he was going down to rebuild New Orleans with the United Way on his time off, because that is what kind of guy he is. Don't suppose any Bronco would do that. I could see Plummer would be perusing the VW car lots to pick up one of the new re-releases of the Rabbit to replace his Scion cause thats the way he rolls.

Rack Olshansky. He's not the only NFL player I've heard talk about the Broncos O-line and holding. Numerous players have said such over the years. As a matter of fact Chiefs LB Kawika Mitchell mentioned it in an interview with the NFL Channel on Sirius yesterday. It's common knowledge league wide. That's why I'm still absolutely amazed they played an overtime game this year against the Chiefs without ONE penalty being called on them. Pat Bowlen must suck some mean cock. That's about the only thing I can think of.

I've always wondered.....how is it the refs always seem to miss these holding calls....Nixhex wrote: He's not the only NFL player I've heard talk about the Broncos O-line and holding. Numerous players have said such over the years.
especially given the fact that whining opposing coaches/players are always pointing out how much they hold.....
no one has ever provided an adequate explanation for how the refs constantly miss all these holds.......
don't tell me, the refs are all in on it.......it's a conspiracy

Ahhh, did I strike a nerve with the VW Rabbit comment? Hit a little close to home, it seems to be the style of car that everybody in your profession seems to drive around here.Equity Screwer wrote:note to adad....fuggin bite me....
