The '07 QB Free Agent list is pretty light, IMO.

Matt Schaub - Falcons
Chris Simms - Bucs
Rohan Davey - Cardinals
Shaun King - Colts
John Navarre - Cardinals
Tim Rattay - Buccaneers
Seneca Wallace - Seahawks
Anthony Wright - Bengals

I've heard folks speaking highly of Matt Schaub, but .... I dunno.

Let's see what happens the rest of the year with Brooks and Walter.
My gut feeling at this point is that they will BOTH be back next year.

I don't see how one would realistically have concluded that Walter is a 'bust' based on the first 8 starts of his career.
Can't imagine a newbie being placed in a worse spot than he was put in to to.

Culpepper made some sense last off-season.
Now, no.

Moss won't be back, IMO, so.... reunited and it feels soooooo good won't be happenin'.

Pepper may be damaged goods.
His fade into oblivion may be well underway.

Could the Raiders draft a QB ... ?
I guess it's possible, but I don't expect it.
They used a #3 on Walter in '05.
I think they'd more likely try (one way or another) to bring another vet in.
Historically they've had much more success taking that approach.

Oakland has a pretty TERRIBLE history as far as developing drafted QBs.
Snake Stabler is the only drafted QB that has ever really 'made' it in Silver and Black.

Failures include ....

Mike Rae
Jeb Blount
Marc Wilson
Steve Beuerlein -- actually had a fair career
Rusty Hilger
Todd Marinovich
Billy Joe Hobert
Tui
Andrew Walter -- jury is out

Doesn't really matter who the 'duhs have under center if they don't get on O-line.
