I'm watching this game right now on ESPN2.
This game used to be something special, but I'm seeing empty seats courtside. :?
WTF? Granted, there's a freaking blizzard going on outside right now in Columbia, but give me a break Tiger hoops fan. Your team is 7-0 (against cupcakes and all at home, sure), but holy christ... that place should still be packed to the rafters.
Damn you Quin Snyder and Mike Alden and everyone else responsible for making Mizzou arena a near ghost town during what should be a classic match-up.
Mike Anderson is starting to make a believer out of me, though.
WAR Mizzou hoops returning to it's former self someday soon.

Mizzou - 86
Arkansas - 64
Ending an 8 game losing streak to the Hogs in impressive fashion.
The Mike Anderson era has officially begun.
40 minutes of hell? dunno, it was like watching a pinball machine. I'll see what happens once conference play starts before believing my own lying eyes, but so far, this Tiger team is making this fan start to growl again.
Be afraid of Columbia, Big XII hoops honks, be very afraid.

My little sister was on her way back to Mid-MO and got stuck in Warrenton. She didn't make it to Columbia for another two hours.War Wagon wrote:WTF? Granted, there's a freaking blizzard going on outside right now in Columbia, but give me a break Tiger hoops fan.
Mid-MO had other crazy shit to worry about. I'm just glad I got to watch.

i wouldn't sweat the fans....it's pretty hairy out and about in the mid-south.
i saw about half the game out of the corner of my eye hanging with some buddies. I thought Mizzou looked pretty good--i thought losing Gardner they'd have trouble scoring (TG should have stayed). I've never been too impressed with Stan Heath's game coaching, but Mizzou took it to em.
truth be told, while i'm optimistic about the Capel hire and he's recruiting lights out, Anderson would have been my first choice at OU.

he's class, and is a winner. he will love his time in columbia, its a bball school 1st, and when you win, you become a god in the whole state. people respect and love the guy, meaning no problems with the instate recruits, while norm won a ton of games, he pissed off many in stl, and lost out on some very good st.louis kids.( the cardinal ritter boys, vashon kids, etc)
i knew before thge season started, that this will be a different team, no matter whos gone, this team would be better and play hard.
fuck snyder
