anybody see this? i was thinking about going the other afternoon for some brainless entertainment and some hot noodles at deece Japanese place next door since we had a snow day.....and the theatre, the old school big time screen mentioned in the V for Vendetta thread, is about a 15 minute walk from the King Crimson crib.
I'm not a huge Bond fan, though i used to love that stuff as a kid. I haven't seen any of the Dalton/Brosnan ones.

Viewed it last week. The Franchise is back.
“Casino Royale” returns to the Sean Connery era, or as close as it can get. Despite earlier criticism, Daniel Craig is superb in the role. He brings a depth of character not seen since Connery. Don’t worry about the plot because you’ll have trouble finding it. Just enjoy the view because there’s plenty to see.
From the unique opening sequence that “introduces” the trademark barrel view of a gun, to the free-running (See Parkour) pursuit of a terrorist, the wonderful cars, beautiful women, breathtaking scenery and the final scene where Bond utters the phrase that everyone recognizes.
Is it perfect? Nope. The movie runs about 20 min too long and there’s a scene where Bond is driving a Ford. That’s right, a Ford. Look for it. I also kept thinking: “Why doesn’t Daniel Craig use a comb for Christ’s sake.”
But, you’ll enjoy this flick.

i went and saw it with a friend. it was pretty good. it promised more than it delivered to me. the "second kill scene" was pretty cool. i liked it.
i don't give a damn about poker but apparently they are playing baccarat in the novel and not ESPN mirror sunglasses Texas Hold 'em. that was a weak concession IMO. i could be wrong about this, but i read it somewhere. i don't play cards except for Gin.
