Well, not quite, although I could be if I decided to trespass on my neighbors router.
Went to comp usa yesterday and picked up a hp dv6113us notebook. It was 829 clams befoe the 200 clam mailin 'bait. They had an hp factory pimp in the store who says I got over pretty good. It has an AMD processor wit the dual core processor thingy which they tell me is good. It has a jigawatt of ram which means 'lil miss smackaholic's Sims outta run better than it does on my doorstop errrr desktop.
Any recommendations on a wireless router, besides just using the neighbor's?
I'm wireless, bitches.

My God, you're a fucking idiot!!!
You make sissyroo look like a fuckin' genius.
Another recommendation... put your head in the oven and turn it on broil.
After an hour and a half... let me know when it gets hot.
Yeah... punch yourself in the face as hard as you can, and don't let up.smackaholic wrote:

looked at some wireless routers today. the cheap ones are around 40 bucks. They have a "G" rating. The really cool ones, like zyclone would have are about 2 hunnit. Is a cheapo gonna slow down my pron downloads much? Range isn't much of an issue as even the cheap one is rated for 400 ft which pretty much covers the entire estate. Might piss off the free loader neighbor that lives 500 feet away though.
BTW, is there anything illegal about having a kick ass one and serving as the neighborhood ISP. You know damn well there are folks doing it. I would think that as long as they couldn't prove you were charging, there isn't much they could do.

Don't believe so. It's kind of the norm around here.smackaholic wrote: BTW, is there anything illegal about having a kick ass one and serving as the neighborhood ISP. Although now, the city of Portland is acting as a free wireless ISP...fuelled by Microsoft's popup ads(which apparently clever Firefox or proxy filter users have already bypassed, a few days in).
I got 99 problems but the 'vid ain't one
I dig, but still some great technical reads down there, check it out.smackaholic wrote:yeah, but, you don't get as many clever comebacks or ones like 420s^^^^^Tom In VA wrote:By "G" rating do you mean they are 802.11G ?
BTW, the Tech Forum here is a great place to learn some stuff.
With all the horseshit around here, you'd think there'd be a pony somewhere.
