Btw, Mgo, I'd like to help you out, since I used to live there. But that was 16 years ago and the information I'd have would doubtless be way out of date by now.

Downtown is still not very exciting. There are a few bars next to each other on Bay Street. Mark's, Dive Bar, TSI. Mark's is more of a "booty music" kinda place on the weekends. Haven't been to Dive Bar yet. TSI is an indie bar, with different "theme" nights during the week. They serve wine and beer only. These three are across from the courthouse. There's a British pub on that same block right around the corner. Forgot the name of it. Otherwise, there are a few cool more "underground" places within 5 miles of that area but hard to give directions to because they are in obscure places.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:I haven't gotten that info yet. I'll check back when I do. Just tell me what's cool downtown.
If you go right across the river to the San Marco area, there's the whole San Marco square with restaurants, wine bars, movie theatre, nightlife. My favorite bar is right down the street from that area. Hole in the wall, smokey, strong CHEAP drinks, jukebox, darts, pool. Not gonna give you directions or the name of it as it's my home away from home and I'm ALWAYS there. But I'll make sure I don't go next week in case you happen to stumble upon it.

patsy, your rack is mas deece and all, but there's really no need to assume i'm going to AP-it to the other side of the country just to try and motorboat those bad boys. I only play an internet weirdo....on the internet.
I'll be there for work, walking an 1100 unit apartment complex, helping assess interior and exterior damages. It'll take at least 3 or 4 days. This place is a giant shithole and we just took it over, and will be prepared to dump millions into it. That's what my company does. And I'll be packing my numchucks and Chuck Norris beard.
