BSmack,

As a Syracuse fan, I understand your defense of the dude and will write it off as homerism.

He's a fuckstain that will get what is coming to him. Suckerpunch Anthony will never have respect from his peers...at least not the ones worth a shit. Sure, the thugs'll love him. 15 was too light.

Oh, and one last thing on Vernon Maxwell...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vernon_Maxwell
After Florida, Vernon Maxwell's career moved to the NBA. He was a key member of the Houston Rockets first championship team. Known for his clutch shooting, Vernon Maxwell hit several game-winning shots throughout his career. His defense was tenacious, and he is remembered by many for having kept Michael Jordan significantly below his season scoring averages. Vernon acquried the reputation of being a feisty player. He earned a mention on the Late Show with David Letterman in 1994. Letterman asked his guest, Spike Lee, if there was a similar player on the Rockets who brandished Reggie Miller's manner, to which Spike replied, "Mad Max". During the 1995-1996 campaign with the 76ers, Maxwell contemplated trying out for the football Eagles, harkening back to his exemplorary exploits on the high school gridiron. Maxwell's last significant contribution in the NBA was during the 1999 playoffs, playing a pivitol role with the underdog Kings in taking Utah to the series limit.

But I give Dumars his due...
Drafted #18 overall in the first round of the 1985 NBA Draft out of McNeese State University, he played guard for the Detroit Pistons for his entire career, from 1985 to 1999. Interestingly, Dumars' favorite player in the NBA, according to McNeese State's athletic program, was Isiah Thomas. He won two championships as a player in 1989 and 1990, and was voted the 1989 Finals MVP, averaging 27.3 points per game as the Pistons swept the Los Angeles Lakers in four games. The following year, he won accolades during the Eastern Conference Finals when, with Dennis Rodman, he was a cornerstone of coach Chuck Daly's "Jordan Rules" defensive playbook, which forced the Chicago Bulls to change their offensive strategy to include less of Michael Jordan and more of the other members of the team. According to Jordan, Dumars was the best defender he faced in the NBA.

Dumas deserves his due as well. But to say Thomas wasn't a great player is just asinine.

With all the horseshit around here, you'd think there'd be a pony somewhere.

BSmacked -- I understand. In your position, your only(beyond weak) defense is to make this some sort of debate of the semantics of "program"(which I already corrected myself on-BTW...but keep swinging, dog).

Here's two links for you --

Of course before this weekend's fiasco, that was the ONLY black mark on Melo's resume.

OK, one more link. At the bottom, you can find Steve Kerr's e-mail addy, so you can tell him how much more about the subject you know than him...because it's not like his columns are on the front page of Yahho Sports or anything like that.

You should change your screen name to Dradel.

Basketball is still boring.

Zidane or Cantona would have steamed through those pussies with minimal bother, especially the Leroy out of Fame lookalike who ran off like a mard-arse.

It's not an issue of semantics. You straight up fabricated shit to buttress your argument. Not that you'll ever admit it or anything.

Kerr says nothing but a few vague generalities about anything prior to the brawl last weekend. And what he said about the brawl I agree with 100%.

Excuse me, but we were talking about rock-ness, not intelligence.
