At least put some green colored barf on the damn thing, or impale a reindeer on the 1.
Merry Fucking Christmas

My Christmas spirit left with all the decorations my wife took in the divorce.

After I get through these next two days of Hell, I would like to examine the real benefits of marriage vs. just living with some chick. Eye think there may be some good discussions sans tard trolls poppin' and a poopin' in to make for interesting reading. Eye have been reading that Tom Leykis site and it is an EYE opener of how a guy can get ass-raped in a divorce.SunCoastSooner wrote:My Christmas spirit left with all the decorations my wife took in the divorce.

Love a woman, put a ring on her if you feel compelled to do so, call her your wife but don't put your name on no ___ damn piece of meaningless paper. Because that is all it is in this country anymore, a meaningless piece of toilet tissue. If you have balls stand up[ and use them 'cause you won't when the court system gets done.

Merry Christmas to you too, Shoalzie. Hope things are ok with your Grandfather.
How about a couple of yard decorations to celebrate Kwanzaa?
matunda ya kwanza*
*good god what a bullshit holiday
See? Now that's sort of the spirit! Is that a decapitated reindeer head on the table there on the left?Otis wrote:I agree Bushice, this place does need something...

Go Bucs, Gators
Should the man and I choose to, we will be exchanging rings and having a ceremony of sorts, but no legal proceedings will take place. My last marriage left me saddled with thousands upon thousands in debt from a husband who didn't know how to handle his money. I'm not going to get stuck with any bullshit like that again, nor do I want to saddle HIM with my shitty credit when the time comes to make major purchases involving financing. Neither of us are religious, "marriage" in its traditional sense means shit. The morality argument is just plain fucking stupid.

All board bullshit aside, I want to get credible attorneys like 88 and Jsc in on this topic after these next few days of the celebration. Just to give a "heads up" about what I'm going to ask these credible attorneys sans TVO, is about pre-nuptial agreements vs. just living together.Monen wrote:Should the man and I choose to, we will be exchanging rings and having a ceremony of sorts, but no legal proceedings will take place. All board bullshit aside, Monen brings up a good point. On the other side of the equation, however, I have a client who, right now, is getting put through the ringer because of his situation.Atomic Punk wrote:All board bullshit aside, I want to get credible attorneys like 88 and Jsc in on this topic after these next few days of the celebration. - He bought a house with his girlfriend (not his wife).
- The relationship didn't work out (surprise, surprise).
- She got him out of the house and an Order of Protection against him by bringing some trumped up charges against him (Motion to Dismiss gets heard tomorrow night, from the Judge's earlier comments I'm feeling somewhat good about it).
- Meanwhile, the house is now in foreclosure because she didn't pay the mortgage (we're trying to negotiate buying her out and then getting the house out of foreclosure).
Having said that, every situation is different, and there's no one pat answer that's always "right." A pre-nup agreement can offer good protection if there's either heavy assets or heavy debt on one side or the other, or both. But in many cases, it's not necessary.
