Pink Floyd Trance Remixes

I love that pic...

Seems like it's a fairly popular topic, so let me explain whats up. These are torrent files that I am downloading. I'm searching for them at ...

http://isohunt.com/

Obviously, you have to have Bit Torrent installed on your system or its a no go.

A word of caution. These remixes are not exactly common. So, if nobody is seeding the torrent, you're not going to get it.

Translation? It is taking a long motherfucking time to get this shit down to my machine. But rest assured, once I have it, I'll be sharing. In the meantime, anybody who is Bit Torrent savy, feel free top pull these files and put another seed out there.

Just found this...PF Absolutely Ambient

-nice twists and turns. It's frosty to hear the different interpretations.
SOYCD starts well and is okay. Sheep...is well, not very satisfying. I'm thinking a few drunken nights, my old casio keyboards, and I could improve on it. Echoes is alright...kinda diggin' it.

Ultimately, it just makes me want to listen to the originals more.

That's me, recreational purist.

Thanks BSmack, I'll keep checking them out as they are found, so please keep feeding us links.

Dawn's coming-
g'night.

Next Up: Wish You Were Here

I could not get the final "bonus" track ("Psychedelic Dreams") to come down, but this zip does have all 5 songs from the album redone. It's not bad. But so far I'm diggin on Fat Bones' posting the most out of all I have heard.

I'll be questing for more this weekend.

So far, WYWH that you provided is closest to exactly what I'm looking for, kind of like Tangerine Dream slamming into it.

**Very cool**

I'm going to edit out the annoying "Tear down the wall!" spliced interruptions that kill the groove of SOYCD 1, and "AAAAAAAAAAGGHHH!!!! in Have a Cigar, but overall the tunes are well mixed. I wish I could do as well. It sounds like my download was jumbled up, because it's like someone clumsily spliced these into otherwise well down cuts. The "My Grandfather was an idiot" spoken over SOYCD 2 works...<snip snip>damnit, they spliced that stupid laffing cut in at the end of it...</snip snip>

TBC...

My husband has been using Bit Torrent for quite some time now - though he's been downloading Hank Williams III and Wayne Hancock shit only. He did find some fucking AWESOME live Ozric Tentacles shows, which rocked.

I need to get with him so he can walk me through the program. I know if my husband can figure it out, it should be no problem for me (as he's usually calling me for help with computer stuff). I've been wanting to look for some Depeche Mode stuff. They are just now going on tour, so hopefully someone out there records a show or two and seeds it.

I'll ask him to look for the PF and have him walk me through a download of that. Oh yeah!

Actualy, that looks more like possible desktop material. But thanks for the offer.

In other news, I have managed to find every track from the Dark Side of the Moon remix EXCEPT 'Any Colour You Like".

Also, I'm waiting on a copy of the Animals remix. It is an Album Wrap file that is currently downloading through limewire.

Pray for me.

If anyone's downloaded The Darker Side of A Dream, tell me what you think of it.

Thanks.

I downloaded it. Haven't had a chance to give it a proper listen. When I do, I'll post.

In the meantime, here's Animals.

Just finished listening to it. I like. A little stilted in spots, but pleasant enough to listen to here at work on a quiet day. A respectable mashup especialy considering the sheer enourmity of a 69 minute file to edit. For me to say much more on the peice will require some time, as I don't often find 70 minutes in a row that I can listen to a peice. ;)

DSOTM is still on hold until I can find either a whole album file or the Any Colour You Like file. Still searching.

Thanks, enormous being the key word.
I got tired and impatient toward the second half and I intend to edit it yet again. I'm not very skilled, but of course the more I play with the program the better my results. Still I like it enough to have listened to it everyday for several days (it's easier for me to overlook the roughness of it). I want to use Lateralus next...thanks for your review.

What program did you use?

I don't know about a 70 minute mashup, but I might try my hand at something smaller if I get some free time.

Sony Sound Forge 8.0, it's a pretty nice program, but I certainly haven't discovered all it's abilities.

I believe adobe has a decent sound editor, and with a little cleverness, FruityLoops can be used as well.

Alright, that's enough polite waiting...

KatMode, darlin' where's that Ozric Tentacles?

BSmack, thanks for the Santa stuff...could you post a link to what you have of the Dark Side of the Moon trancemix, I found the torrent ([ Visit http://www.torrentportal.com ] Pink_Floyd-Dark_Side_of_the_Moon_(Trance_Remix)-LTD-ED-2004-ICE93.1meg)

but it's completely dead. Also, whatever you got of the Animals mix linked up would be a good thing.

You thought 70 minutes was a lot...here's 173meg, 94:23 minutes worth:

Bones,

I should be able to get something up and online in the not too distant future.

I tried clicking on the link you just put up, but nothing happens. It just goes back to the main You Send page.

OK, I've got the torrents downloading at home. For some reason my employer isn't down with running torrents. When I get home I'll see about getting a zip I made of the remaining mixes up.

Those torrents won't come down either. I'm beginning to think I've pissed off the Internets.

But, I do have the remaining trance mixes up.

This has Animals, Dark Side, some Momentary Lapse stuff and One of These Days.

Grab it while its hot, because I'll have to take it down fairly soon.
