UFC 66 - Call it!

Post by Cueball »

Going out on a limb here, if it goes to the ground Chuck wins, stays on the feet Tito wins
I have to go with Tito on this. I thought Babalu was poised to take the belt until he decided to chase Chuck with his chin. Tito will not make this mistake. Randy did not try to shoot in 2 and 3 which is why they ended the way they did. I know Chuck has great take down defense and Forrest improved his in rds 2 and 3 against Tito, but Tito is a very smart fighter that will put all this into that big nog he has and regain his belt in 4.

Jardine/Griffin should be good. Griffin by sub in 2

Arlovski/Pe Da Pano is a tough one to call. I still think the Pitbull is gun shy and this one may be a boring 3 rounder is a KO doesn't happen in the 1st

Macdonald/Leben- I like Leben as a fighter, but his defense straight up sucks. Having a strong chin is not a defense to live by, but Macdonald is more the fighter type that Leben can employ this type of defense and get away with it. Leben by stoppage in 2

Shafer/Bisping- Are you ready? Are you ready? Let's get it on. Rogan- Bisping had Visa problems that made them post pon, ohhhhhhhhh, Bisping rocked him there. Bisping pouring it on. Goldie- That's a good stoppage by the best in the business, Big John McCarthy

Good call, 'cept you picked the wrong guy who stops the fights.

Lame first fight, but they usually all are.

Well, you're not Cuestradamus after all.

Leben is horribly overrated.

Still shocked seeing Griffin get pwnd.

THERE'S NO CRYING IN UFC!!!

Now, it is time...

Since I love watching them both fight, I don't really have a favorite. I just hope to see blood for once tonight. It ain't worth $40 unless there's fucking blood, goddamnit.

My sources tell me that Liddell won by KO in the 3rd. Tito never got him to the ground. Anyone see it?

Besides the Griffin/Jardine fight, I was pretty spot on.

The best place to find UFC fights is on Google videos. Youtube takes down the UFC fights real fast. Google is slower about it.

Tito had his shot - That's the first time I can remember anyone having Chuck's back even if it was only for 10 seconds.

Also surprised that Ortiz from his back couldn't manage to pull Chuck into his guard.

I think the style that beats Chuck will be something like a strong version of Anderson Silva - Get inside take the shots to tie him up and keep him clinched - and deliver some knees inside.

That Elbow Chuck threw from the clench was wicked.

My favorite strike of the night came from Arlovski. Remember when they were on the ground, both arguing with the ref about that kick and whether they should be stood up or not. Arlovski has his right arm cocked back the whole time. The second the ref says go, he just punches Cruz square on the jaw, pretty much KO'ing his ass.

A little bush league but Cruz should've been ready for it.
