The Cheifs define "wild card" ... a team on the brink all year that sneaks in with some hopes to win at least a first round game. And they are a nightmare wild card team for the Colts to play. The Broncos are NOT a "wild card" team. They are a team that everyone picked to win the division by default but they faltered. Nobody wanted to see them waste our time by making the playoffs again and get punked by Indy. So Rack KC for getting in. They have a good shot at beating Indy in the road and then making Schottenheimer grip in the divisional round vs. his old team. And grip he will.

That's a great point e, but it would be different if the Chefs had gone 13-3 or 14-2 this year and won the division. We'd all know that they would get beat in the divisional game again.
This year the Colts and Bears are those teams that put up great records but everyone knows they are getting their asses handed to them EARLY. The Chefs, on the other hand, are a perfect wild card team because they were on the outside looking in as of yesterday and now they are in and present problems to the first team they face.
