If I remember the commercial right... dude was an amazing goalie and Indy Car racer to boot.

Yes, it's true, Bo could outrun you just as well as he could run your punkass over. Thing is... he did get hurt. We'll never know how good he could have been. Not an all time great. He's on the other list with Sayers and Davis....

Top 5 in the league in rushing yards ... ?

LT has been in the top 5 three times.
Simpson was in the top 5 five times, and 6th once.

As I noted, Simpson was THE best in the league 4 times, and LT can only really claim to being THE best one time.
Last year S. Alexander can make that claim.
The year before it was C. Martin.
Before that J. Lewis.
Before that P. Holmes.

You get my drift.

Marty's claim that LT is the best ever is a complete joke, man.

ucant, is Thurman Thomas in the top 10 all-time .... ?
Where is Marshall Faulk ... ?

Both of those guys rank ahead of LT at this point, IMO, and I have them both around 15th all-time, give or take a spot or three.

Thomas, btw, had over 2,000 yds from scrimmage in POST-SEASON play, and played in 11 playoff game wins.
What has Tomlinson done in post-season to this point .... ?
One game .... a loss.

Curious .... where would you rank Eric Dickerson, Larry Csonka, and Frank Gifford .... ?

Red Grange and Paul Hornung .... ?

Poptart... let it go!

The tard's on this board are the same ones that never brought up Gale Sayers till I did!

They know ZERO about football history.

OJ...

1. 14 games, 2,003 yards
a. No other running back in history!!! Has ever gone for that many yards in 14 games.

2. He did it on an ice rink!

3. Every team that played Buffalo, knew they had only one play! Give it to the "juice" and they still couldn't stop him!!!

He's without question, one of the most amazing running backs in NFL history!

You sound like the typical pig... that only shows up for games on Sunday's to escape his fat pig of a wife.

Am I way off base?

No, not the topic and you know it. You replied to my post and conveniently left out this part:

Why even bother with a debate if you "forget" what the discussion was about... or is the Alheizmer's really kicking in?

you know something? About 7 years ago I met a guy at a bar from Buffalo while watching football. He was talking about the glory days of Kelly,Thomas,Reed etc. So I begin mentioning the old 70s teams of Fergusen,Oj,etc. He starts in with this " Aww man O.J was so overrated its sad, the people in Buffalo never really thought he was as great as the rest of football did". So I ask him does this opinion have anything to do with his recent history? He goes,"no REAL Bills fans will always put Thurman Thomas ahead of OJ ,Thurman did more for the team than OJ did."

I got up and went to another part of the bar after that.

Is that statement true Billfan??Because I think the guy had one too many Heinekins myself.

You said Simpson doesn't belong in the same sentence with Brown and Payton.
Fine, I tend to agree .... although I don't think he's TOO terribly far off.

But then you took it a bit further and said that LT is greater than OJ.
That's generally what I have been mocking.

Your surrender is noted.
