The *NEW* uniforms for next season

Post by Shoalzie »

The NHL will start using the new slim-fit uniforms during the All-Star game next week...here's an article about the uniforms and a picture of Crosby modeling the Eastern Conference All-Star gear.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/n ... orms_x.htm

It says teams will have the ability to design their uniforms however they please so the biggest change league-wide is just the way the uniforms are made and how they fit...not necessarily the actual design of them. The Blackhawks, Canadiens and Red Wings uniforms should hopefully remain unchanged through the transition.

To me, it's a bigger deal for the players...it should mean squat to the fans unless RBK is charging us hundreds of dollars for jersey off the rack at our local retailer. I just bought a new Zetterberg jersey this year so I'm not about to fork over more money to get the "new" uniform.

From the picture of Crosby, they look okay...I just don't want to see the strange uniform designs that we saw during the Olympics with the vertical stripes. Then again, those unis were a Nike product and they're the kings of horrible uniform experimentation...see Oregon football.

They seem fine to me. Of course you will get the complainers, who think the players should still be playing with sticks they carved themselves and a puck made out of frozen cow dung.

Doesn't look any fucking different from what they're wearing now

Lighter weight material does change one thing, though: durability. They're going to find out that material is going need replacement about every 5 or 6 games.

That's funny, I just burned a Zetterberg jersey. I guess I'll have to burn a new one.

It doesn't look like anything is going to have to change, they look pretty much the same.

scU-M and MSU both wore the disgraceful vertical striped jerseys for the GLI this year. i hope they aren't wearing them for all regular season games.

Does the glowing aura come with or do you shell out an extra $4.39 for the one like Sid is sporting?

Only on the authentic ones, the replicas don't get shit.
A doctor answers his phone and hears the familiar voice of a colleague on the other end of the line. "We need a fourth for poker," said the friend. "I'll be right over," whispered the doctor. As he was putting on his coat, his wife asked, "Is it serious?" "Oh yes, quite serious," said the doctor gravely. "In fact, there are three doctors there already!
