U2 WAS political

Post by RadioFan »

Since Tom in Va hasn't been making a lot of sense these days, let's review something in which Tom asserted, oh, way back when.

That the band U2 wasn't political. That was Tom's argument. Something along the lines of "Well, they sung about a lot of things, but politics wasn't one of their main thrusts/points."

U2? In 1982?

Discuss.

Big U2 fan, don't recall saying they weren't political.

Fuck the god damn Clancy Brothers on whom I was raised are political at times. WAR Irish Songs of Drinking and Rebellion

Furthermore I always thought Bono walked his talk when it came to political things. The recent move away from an Ireland based company notwithstanding.

Link me up, to where I said this, and I'll come correct.

Most likely Vertigo.

Tom is definately Wide Awake in America but...

seems to be a lot of a Rattle & Hum going on in his dome.

Tom better Achtung Baby or by October he'll be lost in his own little mental stability War with only himself to blame.

This ole Boy is destined to one day wake up Under a Blood Red Sky with millions of smoking neurons scorched by The Unforgettable Fire that torched his oversized brain.

We need Tom to keep it together Dammit!
Face it, Other than Dinsdale who else knows How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb around here?
Dude is usually as solid as The Joshua Tree but lately he's been more prone to Pop and go mentally Numb.

Stay with us Tom....................moT su htiw yatS

Nah I dig chicks with them dark Spanish Eyes anyway. No NoCal is probably opening her Bass Trap to some other Eminem wannabe and they go Dancing Barefoot as she seduces him with her Mysterious Ways
