Oregon vs. UCLA... tonight

Post by 420 »

Well, being the team that pretty much kicked the shit out of both teams in the first half of our games this year... and giving Oregon its biggest halftime deficit of the season up at McArthur Court 46-38.

This all being done without our top 3 players who are out for the season... hopefully we can get Hardin back for the Pac 10 Tourney and make some waves.

The Bear will not quit, the Bear will not die.

This should be a battle of Oregon's kickass offense and UCLA's amazing shutdown D.

That being said... I have no idea who is going to win this fucking game.

I'll give a slight edge to Oregon. Should be a fun one this evening.

First off, get a grip...if your big moment of the season is having a halftime lead on the Ducks(like almost every other team that they've played this year has had), you fucking suck.

U of O says they're slightly revamping their strategy for the second half of the conference schedule, but we'll see. So far, going blow for blow and just trying to stay in the game while the other team burns themselves out, then coming out and blowing their doors off in the second half with superior speed and athleticism has been working pretty well.

QQMF wins in a barnburner, with Aaron Brooks(your NCAA Player of the Year) and Tejuan Porter making the Seers pay for defending the lane too much.

We do suck... we just don't realize it 'til the second half.

I'm just wondering if you guys can stop Arron Afflalo, because if you don't, it's gonna be a long night for the quacks.

The Ducks don't really "stop" anybody...they just outgun them at the other end...with the PAC's leading scorer.

Viable strategy in NCAA ball, gets you killed in the pros.

Afflalo is a fine player, to be sure. His supporting cast doesn't suck, either. But there can be only One...and that One can Run, Swim, and Fly.

A 2 point win at home isn't the same as going to Westwood and playing one of the best defensive teams in the country.

I also don't see you holding Arron Afflalo to 14 points again.

Don't get me wrong... I'd love to see you rednecks kick the shit out of University of Californa la .

I'm just not sure you can do it on the road with their D.

I'm not sure we can do it either. But, it also shouldn't be ignored that we were without our 2nd best player when we beat them a few weeks ago.

There are like 8 teams in this league you tip your cap too and don't take for granted...

Brooks thus far is Pac-10 POY.

UCLA, after last year's success, seems to need wake up calls to get their attention.

Oregon gave us one in their place.

Bruins out for blood. If Dukks prevail, they would be the favorite to win the Pac, except while
sighing for relief, SuC will beat 'em....

Truth be told, as the season winds down, Stanford is getting my attention as much as any team in the league....

Zona is favored by 7 over WSU...take the points AND the money....

I see UCLA winning by something like 79-74....

I guess this could be considered a "statement" game....

UCLA - 69

Duck - 57

For a team that runs other teams out of the gym with their "shooting ability", 57 sure ain't an impressive number.

Another reason I say Oregon wouldn't blow out A&M. Hope we meet in the tourney to end the debate at least.

Mikey, which "Dinsdale" have YOU been reading?

Ain't this one, obviously.

This one talks a whole buncha shit before the games, then congratulates the opposing team/fans after the game, win or lose.

It is how I roll, and always has been. Again, we have Mikey posting what he wishes was true, rather than actual truth. Are you feeling OK? Just like me taking my lumps when my team loses, this fantasy-posting seems to be YOUR pattern...

What causes this? Diet, or genetics? Or a deep jealousy of KCKid?

Well done, Bruins. One apiece. Sounds like the conference tourney is the place to settle this one, eh? Wait...the conference tourney is rigged, location-wise, but the Ducks won't let that stop them in the final.

Round two deservedly goes to the Bruins. But, this isn't over yet...

The only thing keeping us a float is the fact we have the FOY and possibly the POY in freshman Ryan Anderson... 17.2 ppg and 8.5 rebounds a game.

Don't worry, they'll have another L come Saturday night when they come to Haas. 'Furd is 'Furd and they'll continue to be our bitch.

Now Oregon... what the fuck was that? You necks were never in the fucking game???

If by "necks," you mean "inner city thugs from places other than Oregon"...then I guess you're on to something.

And yet you embrace them as your own.

They must be transitioning nicely into mainstream U&Lers.
