The Bear defense will shut down Manning in the first half while Grossman manages the game and leads the Bears on some successful drives. A Manning INT plus a fumble will lead to scores as well and Hester will make a big play. In the 2nd half the Colts settle down and make some adjustments while Manning gets hot but it falls short as the Bears take a classic game:

Ok, since Indy "farmer boy" Frisco so desperately wanted me to give my reasons why the BEARS would win, I'll go ahead and gig'em... ahh, errrr, give'em.
I'm calling Bears, for a number of reasons.
* I like yelling, "GO BEARS!"
* My brother is a recent transplant to IL (I was born in Chicago and he was born in California), and he's now on the bandwagon and it makes me sick. Now, you would think that would make me want to root against them so he can "suffer." But, and this COULD go both ways, but given all the other reasons I'm using it for pro-Bears, if they win I will mock him for his "long 6 months of suffering, waiting for the day his Bears can hold up the Lombardi Trophy."
* Everyone is picking Indy. Also, I believe underdogs have won outright like 40% of the time this season.
* Peyton Manning never beat Florida. Sexy Rexy is a Gator. 'Nuff said.
* Frankly, I hate (in the sports sense) Peyton Manning.
* It would be nice to see an African-American head coach win the Super Bowl...wait, what? :)
* If I'm right, I look like a genius.
* And finally, "F-ck it. I'm throwing downfield...it makes my dick hard."

What's the weather like in Miami?
If it's raining & crappy, that's a huge advantage to the Bears: They're used to it and the Colts aren't
Dry Field: Colts probably win
Wet Field: Chicago dominates

One thing about the Colts, this is not the same "chuck it down the field" offense as you've seen in the past. Peyton isn't making NEAR as many long throws as he used to. He's more into the 5-10 yard passing game now. He picks teams apart. He doesn't like to get hit so they run a lot of 3 and 5 step drop and throw before the defense can even penetrate the line.
So, the Bears won't be able to have effective blitz schemes. If the Bears defense is going to make an impact, it will be due to LBs dropping into the 5-10 yard zone and making plays on the TE and slot receiver.
Colts defense, for some reason, has been inspired all of a sudden. With Sanders back in the playoffs, they have been good, almost great. That's all this defense needs to do is be good against the Bears. Stack 9 in the box unless it is an obvious passing down and they should hold the Bears enough times for the Colts to win.
My prediction:
Colts - 31
Bears - 17
Peyton is going to Disneyland and will be the MVP.
Read above. That's what I call a call.

There were many bad takes and flat out wrong predictions to be laughed at in this thread, but this was perhaps the best.
Say, mdrool... aren't you the guy always pounding your chest whilst proclaiming how much you know about football?420 wrote:The Bears win this one easy... not even close.
The Colts will live in "NFL" eternal hell for the bitch move made by the owner... sneaking out of Baltimore in the middle of the night with moving trucks.
Any owner that moves an NFL team to Indiana gets what they deserve.
The Colts will never win a Super Bowl... EVER!
