they actually overachieved, had a nice season, and beat tejas. You think that would of helped in recruiting, but i noticed they had a marginal recruiting class.
problems with hs coaches? or people realize d.fran is a average coach(nah, if mu fans still believe stinkel can coach, i'm sure atm fans are backing dfran))? makes no sense. especially with tech having a mediocre class(people figured out leach is a dickwad, and will never win a league title under him, fun and gun gets old, especially when you cannot stop anyone defensively, year in and year out) what happened?
wasn't shocked to see colorado have a decent class, he can guarentee a lot of kids early playing time(which was a huge sell for zook at illynoize)
if aTm and tech struggled at home, who cleaned up in tejas(after OU and tejas). MU gets their sleeper kids from tejas, but who cleaned up the studs ou and tejas didnt get?
only 4 4star kids???? if aTm struggles, have to think d.fran is gone?
What happened to aTm?

Probably around the time... they teach you hillbillies the difference between "slightly better than mediocre" and good to very good.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:How long are you going to obsess over a slightly-above-mediocre Big 12 team?
By the way... are they still teaching Mathematical concepts up dar in Michigan?
Oklahoma 11-3
Texas 10-3
Texas A&M 9-4
Nebraska 9-5
Texas tech 8-5
Missouri 8-5
Kansas State 7-6
Oklahoma State 7-6
Kansas 6-6
Baylor 4-8
Iowa State 4-8
Colorado 2-10
Note* for the hillbilly: Texas A&M lost to OU by 1... and beat Texas.

Tech always has mediocre classes. How is it that ATM's class is "mediocre" and OU is "raiding Texas for studs". classes are both small (20) and pretty comparable in most things i've seen, if not ATM's ranked higher.
CU had a decent, but huge class. good for coming off 2-10 in a season that had to make you wonder out loud *just how outmatched* was Hawkins staff in the Big XII. they were like a different team every week....going for it 4th down 4 times in a game and then never a week later. big game out of the TE position in a win, TE doesn't touch the ball for a couple weeks.
but we'll see. up close, i'm starting kinda think Hawkins is a nutjob and there's no doubt he really REALLY likes to talk about himself. i think they'll continue to improve but their gameday coaching last year was TERRIBLE. until they do it on the field, Hawkins *may be* all gimmick IMO. His coach's show was truly bizarre week-in, week-out. Guy talks like he's re-inventing the wheel, sliced bread and writing all the songs on Sgt. Peppers in his spare time. he makes good times Rick's days here look like the Junction Boys sometimes. Just like with Rick, the kids are buying in....but, you start losing games and the "buy in" factor for all the fun and games stuff starts to waver.
I could be wrong, but i live about 200 yards from the CU practice fields.
but anyway, the Buffs lost a couple maybe 3 commits to ASU down the stretch when the old snake Erickson raided their class. FYI.
