I know of a band called (no, I'm not kidding) Howling Joe and the Emancipators. That picture of Abe doing the duckwalk would have been so freakin money for one of their bills. Solid stuff Patsy. I'm seriously considering printing it out on one of the poster size printers we have at my workplace and using it in the office area of the house my wife and I are purchasing.patsy stone wrote:More I've done...
I wish I had more time to work on posters. There are SO MANY people that know how to do this really well. I want to perfect this art one day.

I'm trying to remember the name of the famous dude that did a lot of the 60's psychedilic post art, but I'm drawing a blank.

Cool. Thanks, I was moreso trying to get a feel for your inspiration and "process" I guess than seeing if I "got it". Poor choice of words on my part. I like to speculate and wonder "where the artist was going with this" or "seems the artist was trying to ...", right or wrong it's just where my head naturally goes when I look at stuff, after the initial "wow that looks cool" experience.patsy stone wrote:A lot of playbills don't need to be "got". I've seen some that don't make any sense, but just look cool and advertise the show.
I love that book. It's well worth its hefty price.patsy stone wrote:I have this book...
...and it's f*n amazing. I look at it when I need to feel inspired.
