Hey Sooner fan........
So I went up to Ames last night for the OU-ISU game and was hoping to see a good game as I didn't really care who won. But Oklahoma came into the game with a 15-8 record. I hadn't seen much of them, but I'd like one of you Sooner fans to explain to me how the hell this team has even won a single game? That first half performance.......perhaps the worst half of basketball I've ever seen from a major conference team in person. That was an unbelieveably uninspiring performance. How many turnovers did they have in the half? 15? Iowa State is a terrible team. Hubalek is just an average big man (well, offensively.....defensively he is pathetic), but he was bitchslapping Longar Longar and the other guys that came to double down. But they'd come to double down and then just watch Hubalek do his thing instead of actually attempting to play defense. OU was playing "you got 'em" defense. And offensively, they were much worse. 15 points against Iowa State in 1 half??? I left with 12:00 to go in the game. Just couldn't stand to watch anymore of that abortion of a basketball game. I know ISU ended up winning, but did OU actually show some effort down the stretch or did they just fold and quit? I know this is a new coaching staff, but that type of performance by any team this late in the season is simply inexcuseable. I'd be pissed if I were a Sooner fan.

JON: more questions than answers.....a terrible performance. OU is and has been a poor ball handling and dreadful shooting at times team this year (which is a bad combo). Hilton hasn't been good to the Sooners over the years....though, that's not a sufficient explanation for losing to a Clone squad that had lost 7 of 8 coming in. the ghost of Johnny Orr didn't have much to do with OU turning it over 5 possessions in a row (without getting a shot off).
Down the stretch, OU had 3 possessions to make it a one possession game after cutting it to 4 or 5 on those 3 trips.

maybe, but at least we can actually beat Tech in a revenue sport. :wink:IndyFrisco wrote:I feel sorry for oU on SAturday. Gonna be some reveng seeking motherfuckers coming into Norman.
Sooners may lose but it won't be for lack of effort. to paraphrase Raging Bull, i wonder if Krista Sanchez isn't making Nate Carter's legs weak....
