Same O'l Mizzou
COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The son of Missouri basketball coach Mike Anderson has been suspended indefinitely following an early-morning DUI arrest Friday.
Michael Anderson Jr., a reserve guard who has played in only 10 games this season, was arrested by campus police as he drove alone near Mizzou Arena, an athletic department spokesman said.
The Tigers (15-9, 4-7 Big 12) left town for a Saturday game at Oklahoma State (19-6, 5-5) (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today; No. 18 AP) without the coach's son. As part of his suspension, the younger Anderson will not practice with the team.
"We are obviously very disappointed in the decision made by Michael," the coach said in a statement. "This is a serious error in judgment and we regret any inconvenience this has brought upon our community, our campus and our program.
"Michael is a great young man and our challenge now is to help him, and our team, learn from this situation."
Any other disciplinary action "will be handled internally," the coach said.
The younger Anderson, a junior who followed his father to Columbia from Alabama-Birmingham after the 2005-06 season, averages less than two minutes and one point per game.

lets see, kansas caught cheating yet again,(nice job of cheating, you pay players who have no eligability left :mtool:) yet you cast the first stones? fucking pussy. i have met fans from all of the big12 schools, and noone beats the pussies from lawrence, ok, maybe the jackoff KU fans who live in KC are the worst. Thugsker fans can be pricks, but noone can beat jayfag fans. whiny cunts.

Me too, but why let basketball get in the way in a basketball forum anyways. So, to go along with the subject, they beat a ranked team whose coach had to quit last year because of wrecking while drunk.
Missou looked good today. The Cowboys looked confused and out of gas. I hope they haven't played their way to the NIT.

And after that effort, they shouldn't be ranked. As a fan, not a great thing to have to admit, but it's true. OSU has received a lot of slack in the rankings during their non-performance on the road. Personally I don't get it, because I don't see how a team can compete if they can't win on the road. And on top of all that to play like they did at home against Missouri...they need to be out of the rankings.

Why can't they get press for something more "keeping it real" than boring old drunk driving like some college kids?joe6pac wrote:Same O'l Mizzou

Damn, I need to check in here more often.
Nice win for Mizzou at Okie State. Did I say nice? It was fucking fabulous, and quite unexpected. That after being down 14-3 at the start when they had more turnovers than they did points. I thought that was going to get real ugly, real fast. And that coming off a home game against lowly Baylor when they almost blew a big 2nd half lead. Again, ala Iowa State.
I have no idea what's up with this team. They've won more games and player much better on the road in the conference than they have at home. Go figure.
Joe6 is a real fan, always supporting his team thru the good and the bad times.
Well, not so much.

Like anyone with a lick of sense, they are just so happy to get out of Missouri.
