Washington signs London Fletcher and Fred Smoot
Not sure what Fletcher does for us since he's old and short, but Smoot is better than most as his position and shores up the defense.
I guess Snyder was pissed at being outbid in the Nate Clements sweepstakes and made sure he'd get the next best thing.

i can't hate the fletcher signing. doesnt look like they broke the bank for him, especially seeing what some of these free agents are getting. the guy possibly his best year last year and is probably good for a couple more.
i like smoot too. he wasnt great in minn, but he was good enough here. nice to have a guy who is familiar with williams and the system.
we'll see what happens with springs...

I liked Fletcher back in the Rams hey day, reminded me of another linebacker that was considered "too short" but kicked ass ....
Mike Singletary.
Signing him now for Washington ?
I don't know what it does but he always seemed like a good dude and a very solid player maybe his experience, leadership and solid playmaking will be an asset. Maybe he'll be the guy that paves to the way to the bold new method of tackling to the Redskins, the "hit and wrap" technique. Something they lacked horribly last year.
Smoot, again ? Okay. Whatever.
Wake me when we get some depth in the trenches and when the wop leaves.

With all the horseshit around here, you'd think there'd be a pony somewhere.

Awww now now now that's just bravado talking now isn't it ? Surely you're not going to judge the man based on a few ..... way late in the season.... starts are you ?jiminphilly wrote:Sorry to hear your season is already shot.G.O. wrote: campbells a starter.
Even I, potentially the most cynical 'Skin fans on this board, see hope in Campbell. He needs to develop, sure and I think most fans are/were willing to "rebuild" and allow him to develop.
'Skin fan, we're not fickle, we're just in a pickle.

Nanny nanny boo boo to you Philly fan. Maybe we'll place a bet or something as the season draws nigh. I want money if I win, what do you want ? Some D-Cells ?

Tom,
Are you "fondling yourself" over big, muscular, sweaty men in tight knickers?

Impact: Being a draft bust pays off. No team has spent more on their offensive line than Dallas, and it hasn't really worked to this point. Davis had motivation problems in Arizona, but his versatility will help a Cowboys line that currently has spots open at right tackle and right guard. (Tue. Mar 6, 2007)DallasFanatic wrote:He will be happy to bitch slap your 31st ranked defense up and down the field. Oh wait, you got London Broil and Fried Smoot, a meathead in the middle and a burnt bitch outside. Great pickup Danny Boy.G.O. wrote: nice $50 million O lineman, btw.
the only thing davis is bitch slapping is jerry jones. him coming to visit DC jacked that price up a bit. to paraphrase you, 'great move, danny boy!'.
and yes, fletcher and smoot are both good pickups- and ones that didnt even break the bank to boot. glad you noticed.

Dude I remember when McNabb was drafted, Philly fan was reaching for a shower rod. McNabb matured and developed into what he is today.
Campbell has that potential as well as long as injury, himself, or Snyder and the Wop don't fuck it up.

if you understood the history of the franchise you'd understand why the city wanted Ricky Williams so bad.. as it turns out.. the Iggles made the right pick based soley on what Williams has become.Tom In VA wrote:Dude I remember when McNabb was drafted, Philly fan was reaching for a shower rod. Mcnabb still has accuracy and consistancy issues but he generally gets the job done.
