Maravich highlight vid

maybe some of you guys saw this with all the recent Pistol stuff, but it's worth checking. starts a little slow and the musical choices are somewhat inexplicable.

it's remarkable the variety of ways the guy could put the ball in the hole. the no-rotation floater in the lane is a thing of beauty.

Pistol Pete was showtime way before there was a showtime.

If he was playing today, he'd be the biggest superstar in the NBA. Wish I could have seen him live.

When they talk about unbreakable records I'm not sure why the Pistols scoring average, sans the 3 point line even, isn't mentioned. Nobody will come within 10 points of that.

you mean averaging 43 points per game? that's no big deal. an off night, you score 30....means some other night you score 50+.

no big deal.

i bet i didn't score 50 points in my HS career at Norman High.

Is this the same video that you posted with the Yahoo link, KC? I never could get that to load.

Just watched this, and it's sick. Even if it is the same, it's worth another look. For anybody who didn't catch this the first time, this bump is for you.

I remember the good old days when you had to dribble the basketball, unlike today when they "palm" or "carry" the ball constantly.

Rack the Pistol.
