Avatar size on this board
I expect this to ride the fast lane to the TROTS, but why are a couple of people here allowed to have avatars the size of EM's forehead? Not to be a little bitch, but as few threads that are started here, I would assume that it would be easily noticed and dealt with accordingly. My $4.39 is obviously being spent on cheap beer and action figures by Biggie.

Re: Avatars
A person supposedly can use very large pics for avatars, and as long as the person viewing the thread is logged in as a member, the avatars are automatically resized to the normal T1B avatar parameters.
Hope this helps.
P.S.: Don't tell anyone, but I'm trolling as Douchebag, Indyclown, and a few others. But it's important that you keep this info to yourself, since I don't want people to know. Hell, the last time I tried to pull this off, I accidentally sent out this info as a thread post, instead of in a PM...man, what a fuckup that was.

I guess I'm not logged in then. They seem big as shit to me.Dinsdale wrote:A person supposedly can use very large pics for avatars, and as long as the person viewing the thread is logged in as a member, the avatars are automatically resized to the normal T1B avatar parameters.

My only avatars ever were "gifts," and relevant to the boards at the time.
I've NEVER used a smiley, except under troll nicks(and those were very few and far between).
Rather than make my mark with a gaywadesque .gif, I prefer to just leave a mushroom stamp on the foreheads of my adversaries.

Yet some think posting a repetitive sig file is rather fresh, and even go so far as to want to throw down 1 year bets over it.Rootbeer wrote:Rack Dinsdale's Avatard smack!
If you need a posting crutch like an avatar, please shoot yourself in the balls and spare the world your lisping limpwristed offspring. Thanks in advance.
Ponderous, indeed.
I've always held the opinion that if you can't make your point without :emoting: you shouldn't even make the attempt. If you can't express an emotion through print without a :crutch: your posts are not going to be worth reading anyway.
A smack attempt is never more pathetic than when accompanied by a :winky: toslyly indicate that they're only joking. The emoticon in this application is engineered to diffuse any countersmack. That is nauseatingly pathetic. Please shoot yourself in the face with a bazooka before you pull that weak crap. This is a smack board. If you can't handle being smacked, change the station.

So is Dins like Luke Skywalker to Rootbeers Yoda, then? Yes, sometimes a smiley is weak and inappropriate, but sometimes not so much. Depends on the situation, and the posters involved in the repartee. But to say that ALL emoticons and Av's are pathetic... is a pathetic attempt to somehow place yourself ABOVE the squalid masses amongst whom you so willingly wallow.
Get the fuck over yourself.
Nay it is a valid and appropriate means to place myself above the squalid masses. The proletariat need something to aspire to. Who better than me?*War Wagon wrote: to say that ALL emoticons and Av's are pathetic... is a pathetic attempt to somehow place yourself ABOVE the squalid masses amongst whom you so willingly wallow.
* I'd put an emoticon here if I was a lesser poster. Since I'm a first tier poster I won't. Take my post however you want I don't give a crap. I'll smack you into the ditch with one hand busily exploring the supple breast of a nubile servant if you even look at me sideways while I sit on this throne of my own creation.
Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby.

I like looking at the pictures. I have a short attention span. (especially when it comes to reading some of the go nowhere, fuck me in the goat-ass, diatribes around here)
Besides, who doesn't like Bettie??

Somehow "gaining credibility here" seems parallel to "having the aids and having all the "HIV positive" folks point and laugh".
BTW, my avatar doesn't look so big from here? (maybe 1x1.5)
Lemme know if it's really in someones face.

Emoticons are like anything else -- it's all about timing. It's one thing when a poser is using a faggoty winky-winky for every post, but when the reader isn't expecting them is when they can be most effective.
To wit, something along the lines of this, amid a heated discussion about the war or some shit:
I also wouldn't paint all emotis the same. i.e.: <---- Best. Ever, when timed right.mvscal wrote:m2 wrote:I have a four-year decree and I now what I'm talking about. What do you have?

a) do you really think disabling emoticons is something the admins of this site can or would do - to YOU? As if: "damn, trev's getting over again. DISABLE HER SMILIES, QUICK!! Goddamnit - NO! COLLAR THAT BITCH NOW!!!!"
b) about "taking a hint"...fuck all of that noise. Why bother "hinting"? Post here or don't, you ignorant termagant. Go slap dogshit onto your dentures and smile for the camera, for all I give a fallow fuck.
BTW - when I made I destroyed the source file. I knew it was a one-time kinda thing. I still laugh out loud every time I see it.
Now where are those damn cookies?

You hafta admit, smilies are much more acceptable when it's a female posting them? It doesn't make them "less annoying", but "acceptable".
To be honest, some folks are prolly better off just dropping a smiley as a post, and running for cover.
Live to fight another day.

Females here don't show their tits. They aren't loved because we don't see those jiggly bags of fun. We demand they appease the board for self-jerking, or whatever it is G-Pete states.cinderella_undercover wrote:

This IS a smack board honey. Many of us have been around each other's crappy lives for maybe a decade. Saying "You suck" after someone else says "You suck" doesn't fly here. It does fly in Kansas City in a bad part of town... as if there is a good one.
If you study this board, you will see smack threads and serious threads that get hi-jacked. Then there are forums here where people actually talk about real stuff and shit.
You may be the ugliest bitch there is, but you haven't pissed me off yet. I have great expectations for your dumbass. Some of you Stuck Nutters are good peeps. You'll take a beating, but you'll find the people here are mostly intelligent and rip on each other for fun... sans the Canatards and shit trolls.

And Mr Dickens, please be sure to let me know if or when I do in fact piss you off. I'd feel like a complete jerk if I missed it.
Thank god the females here don't show their tits. That should aleve any urge I have to strap a hockey stick to my areolas and and say "cheese".
