Avatar size on this board

I expect this to ride the fast lane to the TROTS, but why are a couple of people here allowed to have avatars the size of EM's forehead? Not to be a little bitch, but as few threads that are started here, I would assume that it would be easily noticed and dealt with accordingly. My $4.39 is obviously being spent on cheap beer and action figures by Biggie.

A person supposedly can use very large pics for avatars, and as long as the person viewing the thread is logged in as a member, the avatars are automatically resized to the normal T1B avatar parameters.

My only avatars ever were "gifts," and relevant to the boards at the time.

I've NEVER used a smiley, except under troll nicks(and those were very few and far between).

Rather than make my mark with a gaywadesque .gif, I prefer to just leave a mushroom stamp on the foreheads of my adversaries.

I've always held the opinion that if you can't make your point without :emoting: you shouldn't even make the attempt. If you can't express an emotion through print without a :crutch: your posts are not going to be worth reading anyway.

A smack attempt is never more pathetic than when accompanied by a :winky: to ~~slyly~~ indicate that they're only joking. The emoticon in this application is engineered to diffuse any countersmack. That is nauseatingly pathetic. Please shoot yourself in the face with a bazooka before you pull that weak crap. This is a smack board. If you can't handle being smacked, change the station.

Yes, sometimes a smiley is weak and inappropriate, but sometimes not so much. Depends on the situation, and the posters involved in the repartee.
