A-Rod for Brad Penny

Post by Sirfindafold »

Yankees need pitching, A-Rod doesn't want to play in NY.

Dodgers have starting pitching depth, they need some power, they need a 3rd baseman.

You heard it here first.

Link? They have 3 legitimate starters in Pettitte, Mussina, and Wang. They also spent a boatload of money on Igawa to be a #4 and let's not forget about that faggot Pavano and possibly Clemens waiting in the wings. Karstens?

Toss in top prospect Phillip Hughes being called up at some point this year and this thread is just about TROTS.

Pay-Rod for a shit pitcher who's barely over .500 in his career and has history of injuries? Not to mention Penny had a 4.33 ERA pitching in the NL, in a pitcher's park, and against a shit division.

Yeah... I am officially pissing all over this thread and watching it turn yellow.

You ran the entire gamut in one fell swoop.

I started to reply to this earlier and then just hit the back button due to the author of the thread.

I heard that the Brewers are looking to trade Brady Clark for Albert Poohole, but they want some draft picks thrown in to make it fair.

Can't slip anything past you, can I?

Did I mention that I believe that with the new contract, Brady must have bought his parents a mansion or something. They sold their house/urinal. And it ain't like they were living in a poor part of town to begin with. If they bailed on the niiiiice place they had, it must have been one heck of an upgrade...then again, maybe it was because their neighbor's son's friends were always pissing in their yard...you never know.

The Dinsdale can bring the dinsdale with the best of them.

I am wondering if the bar down the street from Brady's former home (right up the street from our high school) still serves $1 beers during all Brewers games, from the moment Brady gets his first hit, through to the end of the game. I certainly hope his parents' move didn't end this tradition. The Brady Zone isn't a bad place to be when fucking off an afternoon watching a game and drinking beer instead of being productive.

Speaking of....I might go see Douchebag Arenas and the Whiz against the Zers this evening. That's a mere 6.5 hours away, so I should probably get to prefunctioning now, to ensure that my mouth is in full gametime-form to remind Gilbert Tardfrey about how he was going to drop 50 on Portland last time(and went out and had his worst game of the season). For a mage-losing season, it's been kinda cool. Us Blazerfans have made no less that three new enemies this year -- First Ricky Davis, then Agent 0-fer, and now Lamar Odamn,I Came Up Dirty Again. Fun stuff.

This is the NBA forum, right?

There's an NBA Forum?

Oh wait... I did drop a post in there sometime this year. I'll make my presence felt again during the Celtics 2010 championship run.

You might have ditched Danny Ainge by 2010.

There's a U&Ler that the Blazers don't need any part of. I'm suspicious of any Mormon from Eugene, really. Those things don't belong in the same sentence.

All we keep hearing from Danny is much potential his young guys have.

Meanwhile, he's re-signed the likes of Scala-fucking-brine and made trades that included dead weight in Olowokandi and Ratliff. Yeah, I get the whole salary cap issue when making trades, but these two fuckers are total stiffs. The Telfair move? Can you explain this one to me? He's a former Gangsta.

Not to mention, they brought Pierce back for no fucking reason and are positioning themselves further and further out of the Oden sweepstakes. History tells us ('sup, not landing Tim Duncan?) that the Celts have shit luck when it comes to the lottery and will probably end up with the 4th or 5th pick next year. Then what?

I tell Dins, I am embarrassed to admit I am a Celtics fan and... Ainge must go. Plus he's a fucking Canadian. Oh wait, his hometown is the same place as your beloved Quackers. Close enough, eh?

Errr....I mean --

"No dude, I think you guys got the better end of the deal...I mean after all, I think about the only thing the Blazers got out of the deal was Brandon Rookie Of the Year...it's not like he's going to be a superduperstar for the next 15 years or anything."

That's what I meant to say.

In case you forgot (the Gangstas made like 37 trades that day), they traded for Boston's 1st rounder and then... took that and traded up and got Roy. It's not like the Celts would have landed him at 7.

They traded the #7, Randy Foye, for #6 BRoy and one million dollars.

One WHOLE million.

I think time will show that as the lamest million bucks the Wolves ever made.

Kind of like taking Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan...only this time, it's someone else screwing the pooch.

Laughing extremely fucking hard at Blazerbitch over here........

Nothing will top that monumental fuckup by the Failblazer franchise. Nothing.

In fact, the only draft day fuckup that comes close to that involved a certain purple and gold clad badass that got the fuck over hard by trading some goofy footed oversized dipshit for a certain hall of fame bound guard who became just the 4th player in NBA history to notch his third straight 50 point game by scoring 60 tonight, and will retire as the Greatest. Player. Ever.

So, in your shit model, Roy is the best player ever and Foye will bounce around the league for 10 years? I'll take over-exaggerations for $1,000,000 please.

Foye is being brought along a little slower... though he's been heating up as of late. Check back in 5 years. I think they'll both prove to be very good players.

I think you guys spend a little too much time laughing about the Bowie over Jordan thing(the Blazers had Clyde Freaking Drexler and Jim Paxon, and weren't in the market for a 2-guard).

Let's not forget Mychal Thompson over Larry Bird(although there were interesting circumstances involved in drafting Birdman).
