Damn kids!
I was driving with my 5 y/o son, David tonight and he kept calling me a bonehead. This normally isn't a big deal, since he knows that's his one "safe" slam on Dad that he can use pretty much when he wants, unless he's in trouble or something. Problem is, tonight he was saying it every freaking five seconds.
David: You're a bonehead.
Me: Okay.
David: Bonehead, bonehead, bonehead! Hey bonehead, you're a boneheaaaaaaaad...
Me: I get it. That's enough.
David: You're a super double bonehead, bonehead.
Me: David, I said that's enough. I don't want you to say it again tonight.
David: Okay...........BONEHEAD!!!!

But, RACK Tart and Q!
I wouldn't put it quite like that. I like to goof around a lot with the kids and they're pretty good about using stuff like that at times when they know it will be funny. For instance, earlier in the evening David wanted to use the bathroom at a gas station and I told him that he should wait until we got home because it would be nasty. He said he couldn't wait, so we went in and it was surprisingly exceptionally clean. When we were leaving, I said, "I guess I was wrong, it wasn't nasty at all." David responded, "Yeah, good job, bonehead." Rack my kid for having solid comedic timing at age 5!velocet wrote:Raising your kid to run smack is an interesting twist.
I'm not at all one of those pushover parents who lets his kids walk all over him. I'm the disciplinarian in the family and pride myself on having well-behaved kids. But I have to let them be goofy and have fun with life too.

You don't have to raise them to do that. For some reason it's ingrained.velocet wrote:Raising your kid to run smack is an interesting twist.
Let his next favorite word be "tard"; allow him most latitude with it while you peruse this board so you get a sound effect for every time you read our most overused appellation.

My son picked up the word "dork" when he was about 3 and I was having the damnedest time figuring out where he got it. Finally, I sat down to watch one of the Cartoon Network shows he watched . . .
After that, he wasn't allowed to watch that show anymore.

Hey whitey,
those coathanger scars on your dome go a long way towards explaining you.

Please give me your e-mail addy so I can update you on any positive changes in my life. TIA.

Well I guess that vindicates Caddie in the long run.
However, let it be said that we are fukking up royally if we don't call a spade that which it is. Marinerfan has been bringing the smack (such as it is) vs OCmike while the latter has been merely shrugging it off. Like it or not,

Besides, how would you have me fire back at a ST? Call him a coward and a pussy for not using his primary nick to take shots at me? It's pretty much been done to death, so I'd rather just toy with him.
Marinerfan isn't a shit troll as testimony has brought to light. I'm just saying he gets a partial point for attempting to be "brutal, crude and personal".
While none of us are above hearing from others about refining our respective game, I wouldn't think to TRULY insult you by attempting to help strategize versus that clown. He's been plugging away and yet, well, you see the score.
So I say this not in any advisory role but merely as observation: you could probably start trouncing his minimal game by going all Chris in Winnipeg with some Sincerely Marcus Allen resets or if you feel like turning up the heat a little more compose your posts to him in the manner of WDUNN28. Sure you may remember both templates as retarded exceedingly but there's more style to those than to what marinerfan is bringing.

Do you remember the "old" MarinerFan? He rarely, if ever, ventured into the smack forum of this or the other boards, and the few times he did post, basically had an "Aw, shucks"-type of attitude. Or, pretty much the anti-thesis of this current incarnation of MF. Translation = shit troll.velocet wrote:Marinerfan isn't a shit troll as testimony has brought to light. Anyway, he's bringing so little to the table that at this point, he's such an insignificant little itch on my scrotum that I wouldn't even give him the courtesy of a pinch and roll.

Well now, I think the score needs updating:

At this rate he can continue to flail away for about a month of sundays and maybe he'll catch up.
While you wait, what are your plans? Put together Q & A's for future Humpday Challenges? Further hone your screenwriting skillz? Not to be nosy, just wonderin'.
velocet
There won't be any Humpday Challenges for awhile, as the company that I just started working for is pretty swamped with work.
My off time will be dedicated to knocking loose the cobwebs after hours of training for quite awhile, so I won't have any time to work on my script for at least a couple of months. Though, to be fair, I've been pretty much stalled at about 100 pages for almost a year now, so it's not like taking another couple of months off from writing will be any big deviation from the norm.
