Second Team
• Nick Fazekas, Nevada
• Tyler Hansbrough, UNC

• Jeff Green, Georgetown
• Al Horford, Florida
• Aaron Brooks, Oregon
• Al Thornton, Florida State

"Our staff is going to ensure that anyone who attends this University and wears the Indiana uniform will make this privilege among their highest priorities and not treat the opportunity as an entitlement,'' Crean said in a statement. "We fully expect our student-athletes to accept the responsibilities academically, athletically and socially that come with representing one of the top programs in college basketball history."

Oden shouldn't be there. Played hurt most of the year; missed most of the OOC schedule; offensively ineffective at times...

Surely there was a 5 out there that had a better year. I would have gone with Hansbrough or Noah/Horford.

I know it's difficult.

I agree w/ buckeye in that Oden didn't deserve to be on the First Team. I think he deserved to make 2nd Team w/ Hansbrough making First Team. I think Horford should have made the 2nd Team over Noah.

Oden isn't even the best player on his team.

Durant was the only unaminous selection. Not bad for a freshman.

Don't you mean a pro in a college jersey? David Stern, not Rick Barnes, is the reason that Durant is at Tejas...

...unless he stays. Then it's on Barnes.

Congrats, Wags. Good win.

Thornton was the only all-american not to play in the NCAA tourny.

Damn. If FSU only had a better coach/recruiter.

Agreed...Oden had all-conference numbers but not all-American numbers.

Durant should be an unamious choice for the all of the major player-of-the-year awards...can't see anyone on his level this year. Very good group of players in those three teams. The best player not on that list is probably Neitzel. If there's a most improved player award...hard not to give it to anyone else but him.

God Bless David Stern. If Rick can get him to come back for his Sophomore year......god bless Rick Barnes.
