I like how you can twist my comment that sitting in traffic for three or four hours a day would drive me crazy (a figure of speech, last I checked) into "delicate nerves." I guess people should really enjoy sitting in traffic for that long, right? I must be completely nuts to think this way.
Moron.

Nice to see that those we entrust with the security of our nation haven't figured out how a fucking cellphone or a two-way radio works.
No, really...color me suprised.

No, really...color me suprised.
We don't have the same radio systems as the local police.
Our radios are super secure and encrypted. Police radios are not. Before you throw out a knee-jerk comment about how the FBI has their heads up their butts by not sharing radio communications... the police would have to rise to our standard. We aren't going to lower to their's. We have to have the ability to discuss national security and/or extremely sensitive info over the radio. The police don't. They're not willing and/or incapable to spend the money on that kind of communication system. That's it in a nutshell.
Your cellphone comment is laughable. Let's say I was in an emergency situation and was hauling ass down the highway and really couldn't take the time to pullover because that time could literally mean life or death for someone. I whip out my cellphone and call who exactly? Let's say I (or my dispatch) call Houston PD or the Harris County Sheriff's Office and tell them to not pullover the speeding Ford going down I-10 at 100mph. How long will it take for a) them to verify who I am, b) for their dispatch to get the word out to their officers in the area and c) that they could even find me/escort me or whatever. Or should I have all 5,000 Houston PD officers on speed dial and GPS so I could say, "Hey Doug, I'm gonna go screaming by you in two minutes so don't pull me over." You watch too much TV if you actually believe that shit happens instantaneously. I wish it did.
I know that you're an all-knowing expert on things you know nothing about so I'll be waiting for your uninformed and ignorant response.
Fucking TEARS, Jerry.
Yeah, making a 911 call is pretty tough.
And if you think for one second your explaination makes you sound intelligent, you'd be sorely mistaken.
Ho-LEE-Fuck.
I can't believe I just read that.
Hey Fu...I'll let you in on a little secret -- radio waves travel at around 186,000 miles every second.
The FBI is incapable or unwilling to make some very simple changes in basic communications infrastructure...
and I could have sworn Johnny Q has been paying a MUCH higher fee, which was sold to the public as a fix to this EXACT problem you speak of.
And what's the response?
Not "we're working on it."
Not "our infrastructure could be better."
Nope, it's "That's impossible...but thanks for the extra tax money to fix it."
Do you people even understand why the general public views you with such contempt(tell me you knew?)?
Yeah, making a 911 call is pretty tough.

Along the same vein...it's nice to hear from an actual FBI agent (allegedly) that not only has interagency communications not improved(how hard was this concept sold to the public 5 years ago, for HOW MUCH money?), but that they have no desire to improve it.
Heaven fucking forbid there was a problem with local/national security...since apparently(by their rep's own admission), they are incapable of communicating with local authorities.
So, I guess it would be a good idea to disband the FBI(you just admitted they were ineffective, and have no desire to be so). We can then focus their MASSIVE budget to local authorities and an infrastructure that allows them to all work together...since my local poice departments seem quite capable of operating a fucking radio.

Dins nailed it.
Un. Fucking. Real.
Every time the cock nuzzling knobgoblin known as Cunt Fu pounds submit, he reveals himself to be more of an ignorant and pathetic sloppy fucking twat than previously thought.
The American public is already aware of the monumental douchebaggery that IS the FBI, and it appears that ballsmoking faggots like Fu are hired to strictly keep that image alive and well. Congrats, cunt.

Do you honestly beleive that in my scenario that I would get any timely response whatsoever from the local police? Not a chance. In the perfect Dinsdale Utopia that you apparently live in, it would work like a charm. The reality is that I would either be pulled over (despite the radio signal going out at the speed of light) or I would never see the officers because of five dozen different reasons. It would be great if I could make a call and either be left alone or given a marked escort. It cracks me up to think that you actually believe this is how it works.
Here's a true life example: We like to have a marked police unit visible when we do some arrests. There have been several times that HPD/HCSO units either arrived very late or didn't show up at all, despite our numerous calls to their dispatch. Reason given: we never heard the call because we were doing something else. This is an arrest that has the potential to be far more dangerous than one vehicle speeding down the road. In your Utopia, they'd be there everytime. Shit happens.

Go find me one shred of evidence that states that the FBI was going to allow any other organization to use our actual physical communication system. You won't find anything.Dinsdale wrote:Along the same vein...it's nice to hear from an actual FBI agent (allegedly) that not only has interagency communications not improved(how hard was this concept sold to the public 5 years ago, for HOW MUCH money?), but that they have no desire to improve it.

You seem to be confusing all the talk of interagency communication with communication equipment. Interagency communication has increased greatly since 9/11, hell, it has increased greatly within our own organization. We have a much more task force oriented approach than ever before. The JTTF's (Joint Terrorism Task Force) are FBI squads that are full of members from other agencies, both federal and state/local. We have Health Care Fraud task forces, Corporate Fraud task forces, Mortgage Fraud task forces, Bank Robbery task forces, Drug task forces, etc. The flow of communication is much better than it was six years ago.
The folks from other agencies assigned to JTTF's basically become "deputized" FBI Agents - to keep it simple. They must go through our rigorous background investigation and given top secret clearance. They are assigned FBI cars that have FBI radios because they have top secret clearance. Remember that dust up with your police chief and the FBI. He didn't have a TS clearance and couldn't see what his JTTF officers were doing.
I really enjoy how you seemingly glossed over my point about the FBI having the most secure radio system and that the other local agencies are incapable of rising to that standard as somehow the FBI is ineffective and unwilling. We should lower our standards of security and secrecy to what the police have? Therefore, every person out there with a $100 police scanner can hear our radio traffic as well? Every fucking terrorist cell in this country would just go out and buy a scanner for their members in order to detect our surveillance. That sounds fucking brilliant! Let us lower our standards. No federal agency shares radio communication with the locals and none of us share radio communication with each other. The FBI, DEA, ATF, ICE, IRS, DHS, etc. all operate their own systems. Go complain to your congressmen.
We have and need the highest level of security, the police don't and they're the ones incapable of changing. It's simple economics. I was told that our radio equipment costs about $10,000 per unit. HPD probably has a fleet of 6,000 or more cars. That's $60,000,000 for just HPD to change over. NYPD has 45,000 officers and probably 50,000 vehicles. That's $500,000,000 for them. Any of this sinking in, tard? I know, I know... in Dins Utopia, you'd just print some more money and make it happen. You wouldn't have to worry about raising taxes by a few billion dollars.
Carry on. Are you really this naive as to how the world works?

Fu;
You say that municipal peace officers don't rise to your level because they don't have top secret clearance?
When was the last police officer to be arrested for selling out their own country? How many FBI agents have been arrested for doing so in the last twenty years?
TIA
P.S. That slow response time wouldn't happen to be the result of how the FBI has treated municipal agencies in the past, would it?

I believe the number is two in the last twenty years (Robert Hanssen & Earl Pitts). There was one other arrested for espionage in 1984 (Richard Miller).
Espionage is a crime of opportunity and access. How many police officers have access to top secret counterintelligence information? That number would be zero, therefore, none have been arrested for espionage. The officers on our JTTF's have access to counterterrorism info, not counterintelligence info. That stuff is very restricted and on a need to know basis. I doubt you'll find any cops roaming the halls of our intelligence counterparts at the CIA, NSC or DOD.
Kind of a weak comparison.

It's not a weak comparison. It's just more evidence that the FBI thinks they're legends in their own minds when the reality is that they are as much of fuckups as any other LE agency (and many of the cases the FBI "solves" are closed thanks to help from municipal agencies.....w/o credit being given). Perhaps if the FBI cut down their egoes several sizes they might become the great agency that they're funded to be.Rack Fu wrote:I don't see how that is relevant to the discussion but I'll go off on this tangent with you.Diego in Seattle wrote:Fu;

Basically, you didn't like what I typed because it made your argument completely null and void, so you switched gears into some half-assed "ego trip" argument. It's a tremendously weak comparison because local police don't have access to that kind of information. So how could any of them be arrested for that?Diego in Seattle wrote:It's not a weak comparison. So you can make a blanket indictment of an entire organization because of three assholes? How many police officers are arrested every single day in this country for public corruption related matters - whether that be for taking payoffs/blowjobs to not give women tickets to stealing drugs from evidence lockers to going Rodney King on someone to informing their former homies about criminal investigations, etc.? There are pieces of shit in any organization. Nice soapbox you got there.
As for the sharing of credit, my four years of experience have shown that we are more than happy to share credit. Sometimes to the point that it's ridiculous. I had a case where we did most of the work and the other agency actually did more harm than good but the press release from the US Attorney's Office listed them as jointly investigating the case. I have a case right now that has an agent from another agency assigned to it but they have literally done nothing on the case but attend one meeting. They have done zero work and probably won't end up doing much of anything. The press release will credit them for jointly investigating the case when they didn't do jack. I'm fine with that because it fosters better cooperation down the road but it is what it is. If anything the pendelum has swung in the other direction where we might be giving too much credit to other agencies. Maybe that makes up for years of shitting on everyone else - I don't know, I wasn't there then.
I'm just here to RACK Agent Fu for the way he's comported himself in this thread. For the most part...
To those of you who sense blood in the water every time he posts, I have no idea why. One thing else: RJ, did you apply your patented style of beatdown to Fu in the past? So that he flinches from a reply now? You post as though you dead to rights own him. Noted.

No, I ignore him because he's usually not worthy of a reply. As ignorant as Dins and Diego are, they at least have enough brains to compose an actual thought as opposed to merely picking a side and calling people a cunt. I see what you're saying, but I had to laugh and think to self: look at Fu, the guy had to go and get all growed up.
I'm sure your calling has forced such a thing but keep in mind that a part of us (guys, anyway) never leaves grade school behind entirely. Has anyone stopped playing with toys? NO, and they just get bigger and better. And the kind of thing we do here? Well, what better explains our continuing affinity for what Indyclown glosses our "retarded hobby"?

Douchebag, postpone our meeting until after you hit "Balmer". I don't want your demise (scheduled for Pittsburgh) to prevent you from tangling with velo.
