$1000 lunch?

Post by Quad McWheels »

Politics, democrat, republican, blah, blah, blah....

So there is an article in the paper about Cheney bitching about this and that during some fundraising event. The article was about his political bent, and a throw away line of detail was that the lunch was $1000 per person.

Forget Rep/Dem for a second, because they both do this shit.

What kind of fucking stupid piece of shit retard would pay 1K to have lunch in the same room as some fucking politician? Seriously. Even though I get good seats when I sign up for shit (thanks paralysis!) I fucking can't imagine what kinds of tards do this kind of thing.

Discuss.

I'd like to know, quad...what does it cost taxpayers to infraconstruct access for you to get to lunch? Reading you cry about our VP's lunch pricing had me wondering about that. Don't think you're going to escape scrutiny, 4-wheels. I'm a friendly guy...a public servant, even...and I'm all for you tooling around on my dime, but you better recognize the sacrifice we're making on your behalf.

Probably one who realizes that a $1000 meet and greet might grease the wheels enough to get that lucrative contract or favorable bill passed that will add $5 million to their company.

There aren't. A lot of them are people with C-notes coming out of their ears who look at politicians like celebrities and see an opportunity to meet one of their idols.

Paying $1000 for lunch with Cheney is no worse than the guy I knew who paid $1,000 for an "intimate" concert with KISS. No, that doesn't mean that fellatio was involved, it was limited to like 60 people and the band played all crowd requests. A pretty cool event to attend, without a doubt, but not something that I (or most other people) would pay a grand for.

Or whichever SEC band had a winning record at the time.

RACK!

Let's organize this shin-dig so it can take place near a West Bank bus terminal during the height of suicide bombing season.

I'd request that they play By-Tor and the Dead Dog.

I've been known to verbally harrass an emu on occasion, but it was the psycho dude with the narcissistic personality disorder that used to take the thing behind the fence and beat the shit out of it. He was asked to leave after we found out. Nobody beats down large flightless fowl in our back yard!

BTW, Shrubber and his wife are praying for me...
