Props Gators!
Props...outstanding effort, great game...incredible shooting...
what a run...enjoy it...sucks as a buckeye fan to be on the losing end twice for the prize but hey such is life...
to my Buckeyes...great game...battled to the end...everytime you got close a dagger 3 by the gators...chins up...we'll be back...Oden was a beast tonight and the surface has only been scratched...
again props FLA...you have earned it...words can't describe though the angst in this buckeyes heart right now...

can't argue...they wanted it when they were told it would be hard...they played hard and it showed...tOSU just couldn't capitalize...perhaps if they all come back it could be different...
great run enjoy it...
edit...MGO trying being buckeye fan right now...I know T REX has had some battles with me and others but hey...he brings passion about sports and his squads and it is that very passion we all have that makes this unbelieveably tough to take right now as a buckeye...but i can hold my head proud that my school, my alma matre played for the prize in two major sports...unbelieveable on both accounts for both schools...

This team could be REAL scary if they all return. I think you have to attribute most of those clanks off the back iron to pressure and lack of experience.buckeye_in_sc wrote:tOSU just couldn't capitalize...perhaps if they all come back it could be different...
Hell, they were lucky just to make it this far. Just ask Xavier.
Florida is ruling the College sports world, about now, to say the least.
This team should go down as one of the greatest ever in NCAA history.
I listened to the entire game on the radio tonight. RACK the FUCK out of Kevin Harlin, Nails, as always. RACKs also to Bill Raftery. UNRACK John Thompson. Silent, for the most part ... as UF took over this game. POS.
Out.

HUGE shot, he had, with 3 or so minutes left. Harlan was screaming, Raftery was emoting something incoherent, and Thompson was like, "Well, you still can't underestimate the determination Ohio State has had in this game."MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:He probably got pissed when a white guy, Humphrey, started hitting those 3s.
Fucking tool.

I don't think you can have great BODE than what Florida has right now. The Gators rule major college sports.
Oden was tremendous...nearly wiped out the Florida front line single-handedly. It was the Gator guards who made the biggest difference. The first half was heavily in favor of Florida but the second half was very exciting although the Bucks couldn't cut deeper into their lead. They pretty much played to a draw in the second 20.
Props to Brewer on the MOP...to me, he reminds me a lot of what Hakim Warrick brought to the table for that Syracuse championship team. He's got very active hands on defense, can block shots and rebound and then on the offense end, he's able to drive to the hole and step out and hit a mid-range or long-range jump shot. Noah was a ghost in the Final Four, Horford didn't put up huge numbers but made big shots and Humphrey chipped in with important rally-killing threes...but in the end, Brewer was the best player for the Gators in Atlanta.

I agree Oden is a beast but we weren't allowed to even touch the guy. It was OBVIOUS he was being protected for ratings purposes.....period.Shoalzie wrote:I don't think you can have great BODE than what Florida has right now. The Gators rule major college sports.

Coming that close and losing hurts right now. But tOSU deserves props as well. Under slightly different circumstances, it could have been tOSU winning the national championship in both football and basketball this season. Like I've said, I've been waiting my whole life for that to happen for my school.buckeye_in_sc wrote:MGO trying being buckeye fan right now...I know T REX has had some battles with me and others but hey...he brings passion about sports and his squads and it is that very passion we all have that makes this unbelieveably tough to take right now as a buckeye...but i can hold my head proud that my school, my alma matre played for the prize in two major sports...unbelieveable on both accounts for both schools...
tOSU has nothing to be ashamed of. Nothing.

Football and basketball, sure, but they ain't got nothing on the University of Texas - Dallas.Shoalzie wrote:I don't think you can have great BODE than what Florida has right now. The Gators rule major college sports.

Props to the Gators... trying to drive on I-44 and hollering at the radio was difficult at times. Despite the end result, I'm extremely proud of the Buckeyes and happy with the season they played. Getting major wood just thinking about next season, especially if Oden stays (not counting on it).
Didn't see any of the game, but the Westwood commentators made no mention that I can recall of any shit officiating. How is it that a team wins the championship and their Babsian fans still come up with a conspiracy? Best save that for what I am sure is "legitimate" discussion on your fav Gator site.

I could be wrong about this, but I thought the NBA put in a rule that players had to be out of high school for two years before declaring. If that's the case, Oden stays at least one more year, no?FLW Buckeye wrote:Getting major wood just thinking about next season, especially if Oden stays (not counting on it).

I believe Wisconsin is leading that competition this year. Feel free to bow down before our women's two-time national hockey champs, and our current track and field and cross country champeens. I'm sorry that I forgot to bitch about the refereeing in the women's hockey championship game, though.Jsc810 wrote:There is some trophy that is awarded to the school with the best record in the championshipsShoalzie wrote:I don't think you can have great BODE than what Florida has right now.
