Frozen four semi's call it

Post by Adelpiero »

ah, couple hours away till i make the trek downtown for the ff.

game 1 michigan st vs maine. if bishop isn't healthy(blues prospect), maine has no shot, when he went out maine went 0-4 to end the season, and barely got an at large bid. Michigan st is a decent team with quality, but if its a close game, look for bishop to be the difference. Maine seems to be able to get the big goals they need in tourney.

game 2 North Dakota vs Boston College Honestly, unless dakota comes out like they did against Michigan(down 2-0 in under 40secs), i dont see BC staying in this game. North Dakota is loaded at the forward spots and BC has NOONE on the blueline to stop the toews, oshie, duncan line. Dakotas only weakness is goaltending, and possibly taking very bad penalties(zup jack johnson). It looks like it's North Dakotas championship to lose.

maine 3
michy st 2

North dakota 5
bc 3

Hopefully you were able to unload those extra tickets. I would've considered taking a long weekend and visiting the 314 if the Michigan was still alive in the tournament. If the Frozen Four finds its way up closer to me, I'll definitely look into going.

I'm predicting an all green national championship game by the way. It sickens me to think of State winning the national title in anything but they're a good hardworking team that gets solid goaltending...I think they've got as much as chance as any of the others to win it all.

allowing a goal 27 seconds into the game doesn't help. although state is looking deece right now.

shoalz, you're absolutely right. state was dead in the fucking water at the end of the regular season. jesus christ, they were swept by western in a home and home for the first time in a century (or so it seems) and seemed down for the count. i was surprised to see them play so well in gr.

but as my friend, who works for sports information at boston u told me, "yeah, state sucks but we suck worse. if it wasn't for curry, we wouldn't have even made it to the conference semis."

hey kings tard

jack johnson is overrated, but the player you might really like is boyle of bc.

a guy who can play right or left defense, center, and take clutch faceoffs. and a big mutha fucka. he's not bishop big 6'7, but close.

where was he drafted? round and year? he could be a steal, he was a key reason the toews and oshie line struggled.

duncan gets the hobey, bullshit, if not for toews and oshie, the midget would have 10 goals. irish goalie and clarkson goalies got jobbed.
