A RACKable performance by Peavy

Post by Mikey »

When he starts the 5th he'll be going for 10 straight Ks. That would tie the MLB record.

Still very impressive...striking out the side for three straight innings.

Tip of the cap to Peavy on the 16 Ks and a wag of the finger at Hoffman...first blown save as well as his first ER of the season. Cordero, Papelbon and Wickman are the only closers now with at least 6 saves and haven't allowed an ER so far.

Jake now has two games where he racked up 16 Ks in seven innings.
Both were losses, though not his. They had this one in the bag.

I heard that 75% of the crowd was gone by the end.

unRACK that.

If you stayed, then RACK you. I don't know why anybody would leave a game like that.
