I had a roommate in college outside of the indie hipsters who had that tape. played it for me and I kinda freaked. I was a freshman all full of bad brains and firehose and pavement and the roomie had some tape in his corolla that he knew I'd love.
it was so anticipated that "next slint album" became a joke kinda like "follow-up to Loveless".
same roommate introduced me to captain beefheart. makes me wonder where the fuck he found this stuff.

Never talking to you again is always a personal fave. i still like Flip yer Wig too. Candy Apple Gray, i don't think it has aged as well. though, it does have all the future Mould sympathy songs. some good cuts though. New Day Rising i still like. it's been 15 years since i heard Land Speed.PSUFAN wrote:I was listening to Zen Arcade yesterday, all I could think of was skag heaven. Or, do I have that backwards?
i was disappointed with Warehouse. i can't honestly say i listened to it all the way through, once.
