Well the M1 Garand was the main weapon in Medal of Honor: Frontline, so therefore it must be correct. :D

You know, even being the Humpday Basher that I am, I'll accept that answer.

Pros and cons for both. At longer distances employing "pick 'em off" strategy, I'd take the 30-06 any day, twice on Sunday. But if you've ever tried to rapid-fire an .06 autoloader, it becomes clear that it's really not suited to shoulder-fired "spray and pray" firing. The Pea Shooter offered a much better rapid-fire, close-quarters setup, and had the advantage of removable, high-capacity magazines, which is much better suited to urban combat than an .06, which generally carries a fair(meaning "large") amount of recoil. Plus, the lighter/smaller the round, the more you can ship and carry, and the more you can produce from the same amount of material...hence the 5.56/.223.

Agreed, since it was essentially firing a glorified pistol round. If'n I'm not mistaken, that was the original definition of "carbine" -- a lightweight rifle that chambered a pistol round. Now, I think that definition has expanded to include just about any lightweight autoloader rifle, like those damn Highpoint cheapies that were everywhere a few years ago. Allthe weight of a small rifle, without the accuracy or foot-pounds that go with it...yukk. Might as well use a Tech9 "carbine."(Do they still sell those?)

agreed....

too bad Noel Gallagher is such a douchebag.....

“We're not arrogant, we just believe we're the best band in the world.”
He's the primary reason they never made it big here. He was an arrogant coke addict, and Liam blew up several key appearances due to drugs, not to mention leaving his bro all along to do an MTV appearance, heckling him from the balcony.

two talented assholes who tried too hard to be bad boys and turned a lot of people off because of it.
