Oh whoopee!

This level of dorkitude earns you the right to start tagging alongside Jess at the singles-only dating clubs.

who said i liked those groups

there are plenty on here who think bananaram ruled, so i figgered for sure they would be jars of clay and belly fans.

temple of the dog and others are why i like the channel. nirvana with a splash of pearl jam, and some soundgarden. 90's alternative at its best.

Meh.

Hard Attack 27 is where it's at. Even if they do tend to overdo it on some of the new screamo/metalcore shit, they play enough old-school stuff to make up for it. And "Contact High" is a fucking awesome show.

Definitely the 2nd best channel on Sirius after Howard 100.

Channel 29 has had me searching for a new stylus for the turntable so I can dust off the crate of ancient vinyl lurking in the bottom of my closet. My only beef is too much "new" crap that would be better served on the Faction channel. I was leary when they were going to launch it but as soon as they cranked out the Dicks and Negative Approach I knew it would be good.

The funny thing is, Backspin 43 has the exact opposite problem. They play way too much really old hip-hop. They need to hone in more on the late 80s/early 90s shit and cut back on all the early- to mid 80s stuff. Less Grandmaster Flash and Sugarhill Gang, more Brand Nubian and Poor Righteous Teachers.

My other two gripes are that there's no indie hip-hop station and all the country stations blow. I've heard they play Atmosphere on Faction, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna sit through Linkin Park and Korn to hear it. They need to devote a whole channel to underground hip-hop.

As far as country goes, I really hope that if the merger goes through that we get Willie's Place (formerly Hank's Place) from the XM lineup. The classic country station on Sirius plays too much 80s stuff and Outlaw Country is a total crapshoot. I turned on Outlaw Country one time and they were playing "Truckin'." :meds: Love 'em or hate 'em, I think we can all agree that the Grateful Dead are neither "outlaw" nor "country."

totally disagree

depends on the dj.

when dana dane or lady b are in the hizouse, its definately 80's-90's old school.

when kurtis blow is behind the mic, a ton of ancient rap.
